Job Description:

We are seeking a highly strategic and results-driven Senior Manager, AI Business Value Lead to ensure that our AI investments deliver clear and measurable business impact. You will own the value framework that determines which initiatives move forward, support the creation and vetting of value cases, and act as trusted source reporting on AI progress and value delivery across the organization. You will report to the VP, Strategy & Innovation with a dotted line to the Director of Enterprise AI, in the Vertex AI Hub.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Value Case Creation

  • Collaborate with teams across the organization to assess and refine AI use cases, quantifying potential outcomes (e.g. productivity gains, cost savings, revenue impact, customer value, etc.)
  • Design a standardized, scalable methodology to assess risks, benefits, feasibility, and alignment with enterprise strategy
  • Build and iterate value cases and corresponding financial-impact models for all stages of AI deployments to drive transparency and consistency across the organization
  • Partner with change management and enablement teams to ensure successful adoption and sustained value realization of AI initiatives
  • Ensure value cases incorporate governance, compliance, and responsible AI principles

Leadership Reporting

  • Communicate business value, risks, and progress to cross-functional stakeholders & senior leaders
  • Develop executive-ready dashboards, scorecards, and narrative summaries highlighting realized and forecasted business impact
  • Translate technical and operational updates into business-relevant insights and decisions
  • Connect value reporting to enterprise performance frameworks such as OKRs
  • Include feedback loops from operational teams and external stakeholders to refine insights

AI Roadmap Influence

  • Inform and influence the AI strategy and roadmap based on vetted use cases and executive input
  • Identify gaps where AI can deliver additional value, working cross-functionally to bring those initiatives forward
  • Align roadmap priorities with enterprise objectives, such as digital transformation, cost optimization, and innovation
  • Maintain a pipeline for surfacing new ideas and iterating based on business feedback

Value Monitoring

  • Lead the end-to-end process for value estimation and realization of AI initiatives – spanning the full lifecycle from pilot phases through full deployment
  • Monitor realized value post-rollout and iterate on metrics, frameworks, and triggers for expansion or recalibration
  • Provide thought leadership on value management maturity, dashboards, and repeatable processes across the organization
  • Leverage enterprise platforms (e.g., Power BI) and automation tools to support scalable value tracking

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate technical AI initiatives into strategic business outcomes
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML capabilities and typical use cases across enterprises
  • Deep familiarity with enterprise AI lifecycle and stage-appropriate value frameworks
  • Exceptional financial acumen: skilled in ROI modeling, KPIs, cost-benefit analysis, and value measurement
  • Business acumen to evaluate how AI efforts align with corporate drivers such as revenue growth, cost efficiency, risk mitigation, customer value and innovation
  • Exceptional ability to engage and influence cross-functional stakeholders
  • Excellent executive presence and communication; capacity to narrate value and progress convincingly to senior leaders
  • Strong analytical toolkit: Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent data modeling/reporting platforms
  • Familiarity with enterprise performance management systems and how AI value aligns with workforce productivity goals
  • Understanding of ethical AI, data governance, and compliance frameworks

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in a business or technical domain
  • 8+ years in AI Strategy consulting strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated track record of designing and operationalizing value frameworks for AI or large technology initiatives
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams related to AI strategy and value realization

Pay Transparency Statement:

US Base Salary Range: $157,900.00 - $205,400.00

Base pay offered to new hires may vary based upon factors including relevant industry and job-related skills and experience, geographic location, and business needs.* The range displayed does not encompass the full potential of the role, which allows for further growth and career progression.

In addition, as a part of our total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Vertex Bonus Plan (VOB), a role-specific sales commission/bonus, and/or equity grants.
