McKesson’s Corporate Strategy & Business Development (CSBD) strategic innovation arm, Strategic Innovation & Business Development (SIBD) is seeking to add an intrapreneurial, results-driven Senior Manager, Strategic Innovation & Business Development.  This individual will support the identification, design, and launch of innovations that drive meaningful value to McKesson’s core supply chain and distribution businesses across the enterprise. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong strategic thinking, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for innovation and driving results.  The Senior Manager will report directly to the Senior Director, Strategic Innovation & Business Development.

Position Description 

• Lead the ideation and development of innovative solutions: Conduct stakeholder interviews, market research, and competitive analysis to identify and prioritize new growth opportunities
• Design and implement pilot programs: Develop project scope, design proof of concepts, and collaborate with internal and external partners to launch and test innovative initiatives
• Build compelling business cases: Conduct rigorous financial analysis and develop persuasive investment pitches to secure budget for promising projects
• Oversee project implementation and collaboration: Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets, ensuring successful execution and achievement of key milestones in a cross-functional environment
• Monitor and analyze performance: Track key performance indicators, develop dashboards, and present data-driven insights to senior leadership   
• Champion a culture of innovation: Foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the team and across the organization.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in management consulting, product management and innovation, or other strategy and innovation experience in a corporate or start-up environment
• Prior experience in market analysis, competitive intelligence, financial analysis, and insights development
• Healthcare and/or data and technology experience preferred, but not required
• Must be authorized to work in the US

• Strategic thinking: Ability to drive complex company, customer, and market analyses and identify critical pieces of information for making decisions and moving the work forward
• Communication skills: Ability to communicate complex information in an easy-to-understand, persuasive manner both verbally and in writing
• Collaboration and stakeholder management: Ability to develop rapport and credibility across the organization to become a trusted partner for collaboration
• Willingness to learn: Thirst for knowledge, ability to quickly become the “expert” in new subject areas, and open to coaching and feedback for growth within the company

Education

• Must have 4-year Bachelor's degree
• Advanced degree preferred, but not required

Physical Requirements

General office demands

Occasional travel, approximately 10-20%

Preference for candidates located in the following locations: Dallas-Fort Worth (TX) or Boston (MA).  Open to consideration for remote candidates.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$91,400 - $152,400
