Salesforce Inc. seeks Senior Manager, Software Engineering in San Francisco, CA:

Job Duties: Plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming. Lead a team of software engineers to deliver impact and value supporting the growth of Salesforce's CRM business, effectively scaling the database schema release on Oracle and Salesforce Database to support continuous growth of production environments. Collaborate with release managers, release engineers, and Salesforce Database partner teams to ensure the successful end-to-end lifecycle for schema changes including development, testing, and deployment of schema release tooling and schema change scripts to internal and production environments. Manage the team in delivering schema releases multiple times a year to production environments without impacting performance, availability, or downstream maintenance/releases. Ensure continuous evolution of the database schema on internal environments throughout the development cycle in order to support feature enhancements required by scrum teams. Provide technical and behavioral mentorship to individual team members thereby aligning and delivering business goals. Engage architects and leaders to align on the technical Long-Range Plan (LRP) based on a 3-to-5-year time horizon to evolve database schema management technologies. Foresee conflicts and deliver impactful just-in-time feedback to achieve resolution. Identify, attract, and hire candidates with the required skill set and potential for growth. Hire, fire, supervise direct staff and their work product. Manage team to assign appropriate tasks to meet deadlines and team goals. Work as a lead engineer and mentor team members. ˆHQ address additionally encompasses the following Salesforce locations in San Francisco: 350 Mission Street, 415 Mission Street, and 50 Fremont Street. The permanent position may be offered at any of these locations in San Francisco. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in a related field.

Special Skill Requirements: (1) Oracle SQL (2 years); (2) Kubernetes; (3) Spinnaker; (4) Docker; (5) React or JavaScript; (6) CSS; (7) Spring Framework; (8) Hibernate ORM; (9) Restful Web Services; (10) Shell Scripting; (11) Service Oriented Architecture; and (12) Junit. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable.  Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Salary: $200,304.00 - $276,100.00 per annum.
