The Netflix Compensation team is seeking a Senior Manager, Sales Incentive Compensation Ops Leader to partner with the Ads organization at this early stage of the business. The ideal candidate will be an exceptionally strong creative thinker who can lead the design and implementation of sales incentive solutions supporting the Ads Sales GTM strategies. They will leverage strategic relationship building and the ability to influence at multiple levels of the organization and cross-functionally. They thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and are flexible, detail-oriented, and passionate about customers and advertisers. They must also be comfortable working with numerous stakeholders across the global Ads organization in a highly dynamic environment. This role will have accountability for developing the systems and operational roadmap to support the maturing of the Ads SIC program, including the definition of program metrics and measurements. Drawing insights from industry benchmarks, their own depth and breadth of experience, and internal baselines will be core to success for this role.

In this role, you will:

  • Define strategy for implementation, administration, and assessment of key Sales Incentive design and program initiatives in support of Ad Sales GTM strategy.

  • Develop a multi-year infrastructure roadmap in partnership with Sales Operations, Ads Product Tech, DSE, and FP&A functions.

  • Serve as a sales incentives subject matter expert representing those needs cross-functionally with both a regional and global lens.

  • Design and implement a reporting solution for sales incentives in partnership with Sales Ops and DSE, including performance reporting, operational reporting, and trends/insight reporting. Create and implement action plans based on insights.

  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of sales incentive plan effectiveness, recommending adjustments to ensure plans remain equitable, motivating, and aligned with Netflix sales strategy.

  • Design and evaluate sales performance metrics to monitor sales incentive compensation program effectiveness, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. Lead the resulting change implementations.

  • Build and maintain financial models to forecast and measure the cost and effectiveness of new or proposed incentive compensation plans.

  • Establish continuous feedback loops across all levels of the sales organization (from sales representatives to leadership) to gather qualitative and quantitative insights on the sales incentive plan's effectiveness and its impact on motivation and behavior.

  • Engage with market research and benchmarking to ensure Netflix sales incentive compensation structures remain competitive within the industry.

  • Lead an internal audit engagement to develop and resolve any identified improvement opportunities in partnership with the internal audit team.

  • Identify and summarize emerging sales incentives and industry trends, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.

  • Leverage sales incentive compensation-related applications and sales data systems (e.g., Workday, Salesforce, CaptivateIQ) to enhance solution design and reporting.

About you:

  • 10+ years experience in sales incentive compensation, including 5+ years experience in the advertising industry, with deep expertise in the CTV and streaming advertising ecosystem. Proven track record of driving complex solutions in dynamic sales environments.

  • 10+ years of experience in global sales incentive compensation, with progressively increased scope of responsibility, including 5+ years experience defining system capabilities and roadmaps.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.

  • Clear communicator (presentation and writing) that simplifies complex topics for consumption by many different levels of the organization.

  • Creative sales incentives leader with demonstrated track record of innovating, challenging assumptions and designing better and novel approaches.

  • Values relationship development and collaborates effectively, embracing differing perspectives and experiences to improve decision making.

  • Ability to go deep in detail as well as to understand and connect to the big picture.

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $230,000 - $610,000.
