The Opportunity:

Verkada is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager to lead and empower our team of Embedded Field Sales Enablement Leads. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the strategic direction, execution, and continuous improvement of enablement programs directly embedded within our field sales teams. You will be instrumental in driving sales productivity, accelerating revenue growth, and ensuring our sales organization has the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to excel. This is an exciting opportunity to build and scale a high-impact enablement function within a rapidly growing organization.

What You'll Do:
  • Team Leadership and Development: Recruit, mentor, and develop a team of high-performing Embedded Field Sales Enablement Leads. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team culture.
  • Strategic Alignment: Partner closely with Sales Leadership, Product Marketing, and other key stakeholders to understand business priorities, sales strategies, and field needs. Translate these insights into impactful enablement strategies and programs.
  • Program Vision and Execution: Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for embedded field sales enablement programs. Oversee the design, development, and delivery of targeted learning experiences, tools, and resources that directly support sales execution at the field level.
  • Embedded Enablement Model: Champion and refine the embedded enablement model, ensuring embedded leads are effectively integrated within their respective sales teams and are seen as trusted advisors.
  • Content Strategy and Management: Collaborate with stakeholders and internal teams to ensure the creation and delivery of relevant, high-quality, and easily accessible sales content, tailored to specific needs and sales stages.
  • Sales Process and Methodology Expertise: Ensure enablement programs reinforce and drive adoption of core sales processes, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Performance Measurement and Impact: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of embedded enablement programs. Analyze data, identify trends, and implement continuous improvements to maximize impact on sales productivity and revenue.
  • Technology and Tools: Evaluate and leverage sales enablement technologies and tools to optimize program delivery, track progress, and enhance the overall sales experience.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Foster strong working relationships with Sales Operations, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging and training.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate enablement strategies, progress, and results to key stakeholders, including executive leadership.
What You'll Bring:
  • Seasoned Expertise: You bring 8+ years of progressive experience in sales enablement, training, or a related space. You understand the realities of field sales and how to empower sales teams to succeed.
  • A Solid Foundation: You hold a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field. A master’s degree? Even better - we value lifelong learners.
  • Team Builder: You've led, inspired, and developed high-performing teams, including directly managing program managers. Your leadership helps people thrive.
  • Program Architect: You’ve built and launched sales enablement programs from the ground up - and you can show how they’ve driven real impact.
  • Learning-Obsessed: You understand how adults learn best - from instructional design to engaging delivery. You turn content into behavior change.
  • Master Communicator: Whether you’re presenting to executives or coaching in the field, you connect, influence, and inspire across all levels of the organization.
  • Data-Driven Thinker: You use data to uncover insights, solve problems, and guide strategic decisions.
  • Sales Savvy: You’re familiar with modern sales methodologies like MEDDPIC or Solution Selling and know your way around CRM systems like Salesforce.
  • Tech-Enabled: You’re confident using sales enablement platforms and related tools - and you stay current with emerging technologies.
  • Thrives Under Pressure: You’re energized by fast-paced, dynamic environments and are skilled at managing multiple priorities with focus and flexibility.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
