The Role:
Immunovant is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Manager, R&D Accounting to join our accounting team. This role you will assist with the clinical trials and R&D accruals processes and work closely with Clinical Operations, Manufacturing, and R&D teams. You will apply your existing accounting skills and knowledge, learn new skills, and play a key role in guiding the growth of the Accounting department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare month-end clinical and R&D accrual analyses, including reviews of CRO reports, patient costs, site accruals, and clinical manufacturing accruals, while ensuring compliance with US GAAP and company policies.
- Prepare corresponding monthly journal entries and related supporting documentation.
- Prepare monthly accounts reconciliations (clinical and related prepaids/accrued expenses).
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance, highlighting key trends and potential risks.
- Review contracts and amendments to analyze/determine impact on clinical accruals.
- Maintain SOX controls for assigned areas of responsibility.
- Support the internal and external reporting requirements to ensure timely and accurate financial reports for management, investors, and regulatory compliance.
- Work cross functionally with Clinical Operations, Manufacturing, Research and FP&A and other various business owners.
- Work with external CROs and clinical /manufacturing vendors to ensure that accruals are accurately accounted for.
- Assist with providing necessary documentation and explanations related to R&D accounting for the annual audit to our external auditors.
- Possess a continuous improvement mindset, identifying opportunities to enhance accounting processes and systems.
- Provide support as needs arise for special projects, system improvements, or ad-hoc requests.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Certified Public Accountant license preferred
- 5+ years Biotech experience, 2+ years of focus on clinical trial accrual accounting.
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, SOX controls and financial close and reporting process.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; experience with NetSuite and Coupa is preferred.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft office suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the aptitude to collaborate effectively across various teams.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, commitment to accuracy and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Work Environment:
- Remote-based

- Domestic or international travel is required (up to 10%)
Compensation is based on a number of factors, including market location, and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
