How you'll make an impact:

The Senior Manager, Program Management role will reside within our THV New Product Development (NPD) PMO focused on planning, executing, and managing all aspects of New Product development projects to ensure ultimate project success.  The Senior Manager leads cross-functional complex projects from early concept through commercialization, aligning stakeholders and proactively addressing risk and dependencies, facilitating and driving decision-making, and ensuring transparency of progress and outcomes across the organization. 

  • Develop a high-level milestone plan for the program and manage program change in accordance with the change management plan to control scope, quality, schedule, cost, and contracts
  • Manage large scale to enterprise-wide projects
    • Facilitate the creation and approval of business cases within the program, and coordinate the sharing and prioritization of resources among projects
    • Execute program plans (quality, risk, communication, staffing, etc.) and communicate program status and data in order to maintain accurate and current program information for the use of stakeholders
    • Obtain approval for the program and actively manage program benefits and issues in partnership with key stakeholders
  • Establish and maintain program stakeholder relationships, expectations, and communications, both internal and external to the organization
  • Own one or more Project Management Office (PMO) continuous improvement activities
  • Identify and evaluate process improvement and/or course correction/course alignment opportunities
  • Manage project closure activities, including gathering lessons learned and driving changes to future for continuous improvement
  • Serve as a project and program management subject matter expert, including guiding and mentoring project managers sourcing and directing contract resources tied to projects within the program; and develop expertise in a business process, professional discipline, market or product
  • Other incidental duties

What you'll need (Required):

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 10 years of hands-on experience managing projects and/or programs of increasing complexity or equivalent work experience based on Edwards criteria

What else we look for (Preferred)

  • PMP Certification
  • Experience leading cross-functional NPD initiatives in the medical device industry or other regulated industries (biopharma, healthcare, aerospace, defense)
  • Management consultant experience leading large transformational programs
  • Experience in matrixed organizations with heavy cross‑functional alignment.
  • Track record of leading teams through ambiguity, shifting requirements, and evolving technical risks.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and managing complex programs
  • Direct ownership of milestone planning, resource prioritization, and program governance.
  • Exposure to enterprise‑wide initiatives or complex product portfolios.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and executive-level alignment skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset and change management training
  • Familiar with regulations (like FDA, ISO, Design Control)
  • Proven expertise in usage of MS Office Suite and related project management system
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to influence change
  • Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control

The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience). Applications will be accepted while this position is posted on our Careers website.   

For California (CA), the base pay range for this position is $139,000 to $196,000 (highly experienced).
