The Senior Manager of Program Management, Finance will lead and manage the portfolio of Finance projects, including supporting product and technology initiatives, goals management and process and innovation improvements. This role focuses on driving strategic financial initiatives that align with the organization's goals and objectives. The Senior Manager of Program Management will be a proactive member of the Finance team with a strong background and proven track record of working collaboratively and managing multiple projects of varying scope, complexity, and life cycle. Additionally, this role involves managing complex projects, enhancing financial processes, and providing strategic insights to internal and external stakeholders. The Senior Manager of Program Management will also supervise and mentor one direct report, fostering their professional growth and ensuring consistent project support.

This is a hybrid role working from our NYC office 3 days per week. You will report to the Senior Director of Finance Operations.

You'll Get To…

Strategic Planning

  • Create and maintain the function's roadmap, setting objectives for the next 1-2 years.
  • Proactively identify key projects and initiatives requiring project management support.

Proactive Execution and Oversight

  • Lead and drive Finance processes and related technology improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate and document all project phases, including initiating, planning, executing, and monitoring.
  • Create comprehensive project plans with specific milestones, tasks, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of ownership.
  • Identify and mitigate risks by providing actionable recommendations to ensure timely and scope-aligned project delivery.
  • Collaborate with Finance functional leaders to gather, document and analyze business requirements, processes, and technologies.
  • Ensure testing plans are well- documented, align with business requirements, and monitor execution to meet project objectives.

Problem-Solving and Recommendations

  • Utilize creative and analytical thinking to develop tailored solutions and actionable recommendations for each project.
  • Build trust with business leads by delivering a constant stream of support and recommendations that fit within finance strategies.

Communication and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Facilitate cross-functional communication with Executive management, functional leaders and subject matter experts.
  • Deliver periodic updates, presenting key information concisely and ensuring alignment with project goals.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Manage and mentor project management staff, fostering their growth and ensuring high-quality support for project delivery
Who We're Looking For
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in Finance, Product and/or project management.
  • 5+ years people management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related field
  • PMP preferred
  • Experience in a technology company a big plus
  • Experience in solutioning in a dynamic, fast-paced and multi-project environment
  • Superb attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization and process improvement skills
  • Self-starter who demonstrates initiative and displays a high energy level
  • Flexible and influencing
  • Excellent communication skills with audiences at various levels

Cash Compensation Range: $178,500 - $240,000 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to be granted an option to purchase our common stock.
