* Job Summary
* The Senior Manager of Product & Services Data Management sets the guidelines and processes to manage, continually monitor, and improves product and services master data and metadata at CDW. They oversee the systems to manage product and services master data and meta data and collaborate with the Data Platform Architecture and Engineering Leads to ensure those teams are developing tools to support the metadata and master data requirements.
* What you will do:
* Strategy & Leadership
* Align data initiatives with product and services goals, ensuring data supports innovation, customer satisfaction, and revenue growth.
* Formulate and communicate the vision for how product and services data should be managed, shared, and utilized.
* Data Governance & Quality
* Responsible for defining what metadata needs to be tracked about data assets and ensures compliance with these requirements.
* Define and track data quality metrics; develop remediation plans to address issues such as duplicates, inaccuracies, or missing records.
* Monitor compliance with industry regulations and internal data policies, including data privacy and security guidelines.
* Product & Services Data Lifecycle Management
* Oversee the entire data lifecycle, from data creation and ingestion (e.g., product features, services offerings) through archival and decommissioning, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
* Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to integrate data from various sources, implement master data management (MDM) solutions, and maintain reliable data pipelines.
* Work closely with Product Teams to document product data requirements, attributes, and relationships to ensure efficient product releases and service updates.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Partner with Product Management, Services Operations, Sales, and Marketing to understand their data needs, collect feedback, and embed data requirements into product and service processes.
* Serve as subject matter expert for product and services data during company-wide initiatives, ensuring that data strategies align with business objectives.
* Support analytics and business intelligence teams by providing accessible, well-structured data that drives insights on product performance, adoption, and profitability.
* Team Leadership & Development
* Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of data stewards dedicated to product and services data management.
* Champion a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and accountability.
* Define clear goals and performance metrics for the team; provide regular coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
* What we expect of you:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Management, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field AND 10 years of related data governance experience OR 12 years of experience in Information Management, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field AND 3 years of Managerial experience.
* Proven track record of implementing data management frameworks and standards in complex, cross-functional environments.
* Familiarity with Product Information Management (PIM) systems, Master Data Management (MDM) platforms, and related data management tools.
* Experience working with Product and Services data lifecycles, especially in technology or service-based industries.
* Professional certifications in data management or governance, a plus.
* Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and compliance frameworks, a plus.
