About Us:

Grow Therapy is on a mission to serve as the trusted partner for therapists growing their practice, and patients accessing high-quality care. Powered by technology, we are a three-sided marketplace that empowers providers, augments insurance payors, and serves patients. Following the mass increase in depression and anxiety, the need for accessibility is more important than ever. To make our vision for mental healthcare a reality, we’re building a team of entrepreneurs and mission-driven go-getters. Since launching in February 2021, we’ve empowered more than ten thousand therapists and hundreds of thousands of clients across the country and insurance landscape. We’ve raised more than $178mm of funding from Sequoia Capital, Transformation Capital, TCV, SignalFire, and others.

As Senior Manager of People Experience, you’ll own the strategy, operations, and execution of the programs and workplaces that define how employees experience our company every day. At our current growth stage (Series C, scaling from ~500 to 1000 employees), you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how our culture evolves and how we create a connected, engaging environment across distributed teams and three hub offices (NYC, SF, and Seattle).

You’ll set the vision for major company and department offsites, lead engagement initiatives across hubs, and oversee the design and operations of our physical workspaces to ensure they foster collaboration and belonging. You’ll also manage our real estate portfolio and workplace services, ensuring our spaces scale efficiently and reflect our mission and values.

Partnering closely with People Operations, Total Rewards, and Leadership, you’ll ensure our employee experience strategy is inspiring, data-informed, and directly tied to business outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Develop and execute the overarching People Experience strategy that strengthens engagement, belonging, and connection as we scale
  • Partner cross-functionally to align People Experience with operations, compliance, systems, and total rewards
  • Use engagement data, employee feedback, and external benchmarks to measure impact and refine programs
  • Stay on top of industry trends and proactively bring forward new ideas that keep us competitive and innovative
  • Manage and mentor a small but mighty People Experience team
  • Design and continuously improve lifecycle programs (onboarding, engagement, recognition, transitions, and offboarding) that scale effectively
  • Build manager playbooks, toolkits, and guidance that empower leaders to deliver strong employee experiences on their teams
  • Own the vision, design, and execution of company-wide and departmental offsites that align teams, build culture, and reinforce our mission
  • Lead hub-based employee engagement strategies across NYC, SF, and Seattle, ensuring consistency and local relevance
  • Oversee workplace services across all three hubs, ensuring seamless operations, hospitality, and employee support in each location
  • Manage our real estate portfolio and lead the design, buildout, and maintenance of physical spaces that foster collaboration and belonging
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., IT, Facilities vendors, Finance) to ensure spaces reflect our culture and scale efficiently

You’ll Be a Good Fit If:

  • You have 8+ years of progressive experience in People, HR, or Employee Experience, including leading strategy and execution in high-growth environments (ideally scaling from hundreds to 1000+ employees)
  • You thrive at balancing vision with execution—you can set long-term strategy while also ensuring programs land with excellence
  • You have a proven track record of building and scaling engagement programs that drive measurable impact
  • You’ve led or played a central role in planning large-scale offsites or culture-building events that unite distributed teams
  • You bring expertise in hybrid or hub-based work models and know how to foster connection across multiple locations
  • You’re a systems thinker who can connect the dots across people strategy, operations, and culture
  • You’re highly collaborative and influential, with the ability to partner with executives, managers, and cross-functional leaders
  • You use data and feedback to inform decisions and improve programs while bringing creativity, empathy, and pragmatism to your work

Employment Type: Full Time, Exempt
Base Compensation: The base compensation range for this position is $155,000-$190,000 USD Annually

This is a hybrid role with the expectation to work onsite from our NYC, San Francisco, or Seattle hub location three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and travel 2–3 times per year (e.g., company and department offsites).

The base compensation for this role will vary depending on several factors, including relevant experience, qualifications, and the candidate’s working location.

If you don’t meet every single requirement, but are still interested in the job, please apply. Nobody checks every box, and Grow believes the perfect candidate is more than just a resume.

  • Financial Wellness: 401(k) program and equity opportunities.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
