Job Summary:
As an Innovations Senior Manager on the Operations Team, you will play a pivotal role in the growth and success of Ruggable. You will be a strategic problem solver and innovative thinker across the Operations organization. More specifically, you will lead projects that support Supply Chain and Manufacturing in building a world class operation that leverages emerging technology to deliver innovative products to customers as efficiently as possible. Your day-to-day will include scoping new product capabilities, evaluating emerging technologies, vetting feasibility of solutions, and developing business cases and go-forward strategic recommendations to the Operations organization.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead all aspects Operations Innovation, including discovery, prioritization, future road mapping, business case development, and process governance
- Assess industry trends, emerging technologies, and customer needs to recommend areas for strategic investment
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to transform innovative concepts into tangible and deliverable projects
- Operate as a key communicator of the Innovation roadmap to Operations and executive leaders
- Identify and vet key strategic external partners and manage ongoing relationships to drive strategic growth
- Define trial process and objectives to move concepts through a rapid piloting and iteration process.
- Leverage a growth mindset to challenge organizational norms and champion innovation projects for the Operations team
- Translate ambiguous strategic questions into structured, hypothesis-driven decisions that are informed by data-backed models and tools
- Lead and/or support a variety of projects and initiatives within Operations; examples include:
- Scope and develop supply chain and operations processes to enable efficient product innovation launches
- Scope and implement digital network optimization software
- Improve operational ability to customize packaging and products to further improve Ruggable’s customer experience
- Create simple, actionable metrics to track effectiveness of innovations team
- Create and maintain Operations innovation roadmap
What You’ll Need to Have:
Required:
- 3-5 years of professional experience scoping, managing, and delivering strategic operations initiatives
- Strategic mindset with the ability to identify key solutions and investments that enable product and capability leadership
- Innovative problem solving capabilities with a willingness to challenge operational norms and champion strategic change
- Experience in drafting and communicating executive communications to clearly deliver value propositions and business cases to ensure buy-in
- Ability to lead the change management process across cross-functional teams
- Excellent proficiency with Google Sheets / Excel, including advanced formulas and model construction
- Experience conducting quantitative analyses of large, unstructured data sets that drive to insights and ensure accuracy
- Strong relationship development skills with ability to quickly become a trusted thought partner across Operations teams
- High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities simultaneously
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Preferred:
- Experience developing operational strategies and strategic recommendations
- Experience in project management and leading large scale projects
- Experience managing external equipment and/or professional services vendors
- Experience in change management across large organizations
Compensation:
- $115,000 - $140,000 per year base salary
- An annual bonus percentage that varies based on level of role
- Employer matching (up to 3% of base salary) for company sponsored 401K plan
