This position leads the strategic planning and execution of divisional meetings and events, ensuring alignment with business goals and budgets. This role oversees logistics, vendor management, and team coordination for both in-person and virtual programs, delivering high-impact attendee experiences. This position also drives cross-functional collaboration, ensures compliance with policies, and implements tools for effective planning and evaluation. By leveraging industry trends and stakeholder feedback, they continuously enhance event strategy and engagement.
What you will do:
- Develop and implement meeting planning strategy and cadence in alignment with divisional goals and budget.
- Lead team on the development of detailed program budgets, control documents and tracking information for every program. Complete all required documents and follow policies and procedures to ensure compliance (external and internal policy) and continuity of all programs.
- Drive a strategic and proactive approach to event planning, communication, and outcomes with internal stakeholders, including Divisional Leadership team, and external partners, to ensure alignment.
- Oversee and coach team on the execution of meeting requirements, plans and schedules that meet identified requirements. Requirements may include invitations, registration, air and ground travel, food and beverage, audio visual, amenity selection, site inspections and selection, billing reconciliation, program evaluations and follow-up with minimal direction.
- Manage large scale domestic and international programs.
- Deliver attendee experiences that generate high levels of engagement, in-person and/or virtually.
- Lead collaboration across group, division and business units for division meetings(i.e. national sales meeting, mid-year meetings, etc.) and tradeshows. Drive consistency and collaboration for functional/team meetings as appropriate.
- Manage the selection, negotiation and management of vendors needed to execute meetings & tradeshows.
- Institute processes, systems and tools for effective meeting planning and evaluation across the division.
- Launch methods for attendee and stakeholder feedback to provide recommendations for future program enhancements or changes.
- Comprehensive understanding of virtual platforms and tools to recommend optimal strategy for virtual events and meetings. Keep current with internal and external meeting trends to foster high attendee engagement and interaction.
What you will need:
Required:
- Bachelors degree required
- 10 years of work experience required
Preferred:
- Masters degree preferred
- 5 years of people management experience preferred
- 5 years trade show/event experience preferred
- Certified Meeting Planner, qualified to take CMP exam, or equivalent experience preferred
- Marketing AND/OR Sales experience preferred
- Medical device or healthcare industry experience preferred
$115,600 - $245,800 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
