Position Purpose:
Responsible for leading and scaling business development strategies and execution within the healthcare sector. This role owns market strategy, team performance, and growth outcomes for assigned regions or segments and leads a team of Business Development Managers to expand adoption of ICHRA and Ambetter Health solutions.
The Senior Manager partners closely with senior internal stakeholders to translate enterprise growth objectives into actionable plans, ensures consistent and effective execution across the team, and maintains executive level relationships with key consultants, brokers, and industry leaders. This role is accountable for pipeline health, revenue performance, market penetration, and talent development, while serving as a strategic leader within the broader Business Development organization.
- Lead, coach, and develop Business Development Managers, providing clear direction, performance management, and ongoing development.
- Translate enterprise and senior leadership priorities into team level goals, execution plans, and measurable outcomes.
- Accountable for team performance, including pipeline health, revenue results, market penetration, and execution effectiveness.
- Oversee and optimize team activities across multiple concurrent initiatives, ensuring alignment to strategy and efficient use of resources.
- Establish standards and best practices for relationship management, opportunity development, and market engagement.
- Own executive level consultant and broker relationships, including managing escalations and protecting enterprise partnerships.
- Partner with senior leaders across sales, product, marketing, and operations to shape market strategy, expansion opportunities, and long term growth plans.
- Leverage market insights and feedback gathered by the team to inform product development, go to market strategy, and leadership decision making.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, related field or equivalent experience required
- 5+ years in business development or related experience preferably within the healthcare environment required
- 5+ years in group health insurance or healthcare disruption required
- 2+ years ICHRA experience, or health insurance background preferred
- Ability to travel as needed required
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools required
Active Driver's License required
Licenses/Certifications:
Life Accident and Health License Upon Hire required
