How We LEAD:

Virgin Music Group, the world’s leading partner to independent music companies and artists who require a standalone team with global infrastructure and local expertise in every major music market around the world, is seeking a skilled Insights & Analytics professional to join our Global Growth Strategy team. In this role, you will analyze various datasets to provide insights into business performance and opportunities. You will work closely with our business development, finance, product, and technology teams to inform our growth strategies and improve performance tracking.

How You’ll CREATE:
  • Analyze data from various sources, spanning from internal sales data to external consumption data.
  • Create and maintain dashboards, self-serve tools and recurring reports to track business performance across strategic initiatives.
  • Partner cross-functionally with other teams, such as business development, product, finance, and technology, to translate questions into structured analyses.
  • Conduct ad hoc deep dives to support executive decision-making, market expansion efforts, and deal evaluation.
  • Develop clear and compelling recommendations based on data trends, business context, and strategic goals.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity by troubleshooting discrepancies and validating data sources.
  • Package insights into clear narratives, presentations, and dashboards for internal stakeholders at all levels.
Bring your VIBE:
  • Science bachelor’s degree, such as computer science, data science, statistics, mathematics, or in a similar field.
  • OR at least 5 years of hands-on experience in data insights & analytics, ideally in a high-growth or matrixed environment.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI. Python is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms like Snowflake and BigQuery.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with a strong sense of business intuition.
  • Creative problem solving with a track record of offering innovative solutions to answer complex questions.
  • Proven ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Experience building dashboards from scratch and maintaining them for stakeholder use.
  • Strong communication skills – You know how to tell a story with data.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Music or entertainment industry background is a plus.
  • Experience working with financial data is a plus.

Salary Range:

$95,700 - $126,648
