The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Cohort Growth – Casino to execute the strategy for growing and maximizing player volume and value across the customer lifecycle.

You’ll partner closely with the Senior Director of Growth to bridge the gap between Marketing, Product, and Analytics. This role is perfect for a data-fluent marketer who thrives on identifying friction points in the player journey and building the "connective tissue" between personalized incentives and commercial outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Execute New Player Cohort Strategy: Own the day-to-day management of new player cohorts, implementing aggressive strategies to maximize Initial NGR and Day-1 to Day-30 LTV.
  • Optimize the Conversion Funnel: Map and refine the journey from registration to first deposit; collaborate with CRM and Product to remove friction and ensure a seamless "first-bet" experience.
  • Promotional Strategy: Partner with the Promotions team to design new user incentives that balance high-volume acquisition with long-term value. Build a robust "test-and-learn" pipeline for acquisition offers, constantly refining bonus structures, wagering requirements, and "hook" messaging to outperform competitors.
  • Data-Driven Intake Analysis: Analyze the performance of new cohorts by acquisition source to identify high-value trends, reporting insights on CAC and early-life ROI to Casino leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Serve as the primary bridge between the Acquisition Marketing, Brand, and Analytics teams to ensure promo spend aligns with volume targets and commercial budgets.
  • Performance & Velocity Reporting: Track and forecast the growth of new player bases, maintaining real-time dashboards that communicate the health and scale of the acquisition pipe.
Qualifications
  • 7 plus years of experience in growth marketing, CRM, or lifecycle strategy—ideally within Casino, iGaming, or a high-frequency subscription/digital environment.
  • Proven Track Record: Experience driving measurable improvements in customer retention and LTV through segmented, data-informed campaigns.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong proficiency in cohort analysis and data interpretation; you are comfortable using data to build business cases for new initiatives.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable narratives for cross-functional partners and leadership.
  • Operational Agility: Comfortable moving between high-level lifecycle planning and the tactical details of campaign execution.
  • Industry Knowledge: A solid understanding of the regulated gaming landscape and player psychology is a significant plus.

Salary range is listed in CAD; ranges will change based on country and state of residence, which are reflected in Geographical Zones defined by Fanatics Betting and Gaming. *Salary Range: 155,000 to 175,000 CAD (Salary range incorporates all of our Geographical Compensation Zones and is subject to change as the Zone associated with the actual Offer is confirmed). Depending on the role, your interview and onboarding experience may include in-person components, such as onsite interviews or Launching into Better: LIVE—a multi-day cultural immersion in New York City for full-time, non-seasonal hires. These sessions are designed to build connection and bring our culture to life, though specific travel and participation requirements will be confirmed based on your role and location. Your recruiter will provide clear guidance at each stage of the process.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
