The Guidewire Enterprise Readiness Team is a critical strategic organization developed to align information, learning and communication experiences to support readiness and adoption goals across all Guidewire personas - Customer, Partner, and our internal Guidewire team. Our goal is to build an enterprise training and enablement strategy that becomes a competitive differentiator—ensuring employees, customers, and partners maximize their impact with Guidewire Cloud.
The Senior Manager of Go-to-Market Capabilities is responsible for driving enablement programs associated with new hire readiness, methodology training, and role / functional competency development. Responsible for a team of Program Owners with defined focus in supporting Sales, Customer Success, Professional Services and Support functions. Success ensures go-to-market employees are prepared to effectively complete role responsibilities, and that programs deliver measurable value against stakeholder business priorities.

Job Description

Required Skills / Experience
  • Experience: 7-10+ years of enablement or technical education in the SaaS industry. Experience leading large, cross-functional teams focused on delivering successful enablement projects.

  • Readiness / Knowledge: Experience in leading readiness, enablement, or education programs in a SaaS organization. Familiarity with LMS systems, AI tooling and capabilities, and organizational constructs / processes that drive increased knowledge and business outcomes.

  • Functional Role Onboarding: Knowledge on effective new role onboarding, ensuring employees have an effective program to ensure readiness in job functions after the first 6 months at Guidewire.

  • Strategic Business Partnership: Proven success in building executive trust, synthesizing priorities through insightful needs analysis and proactive, value-driven communication.

  • Program Management: Focuses on managing a portfolio of projects, managed in our core project management technology (Monday).

  • Integrity, Rationality, & Collegiality: Operating against Guidewire’s core values, with integrity by building truthful relationships, with rationality by making evidence-based decisions, and with collegiality by working as a professional equal among your peers.

  • Executive Presence & Communication: Possesses exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the proven ability to distill complex technical and program information into clear, actionable executive summaries.   

  • Industry Knowledge: Good understanding of the property and casualty insurance business.

  • Remote Work: Ability to work seamlessly in a remote environment.

  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time, occasionally internationally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leads and develops a high-performing, global organization, including a team of Program Owners and leaders, fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture, and building a robust talent pipeline to support the company's growth. Ensures strong program delivery including adherence to project management methodologies, capacity management, and success metrics.

  • Accountable for the functional onboarding program for the Guidewire Field and Support organizations, including design and delivery of an effective self-study curricula program for each templated role.  Responsible for ensuring ongoing program development, curricula updates, tooling, and measurement against functional readiness. 

  • Accountable for the quality and delivery metrics for in-person Field Onboarding programs, focused on cross-functional account management and role alignment

  • Responsible for the development of core methodology training programs, including Sales / Adoption Methodology (Challenger), Services methodology and others.  

  • Partners with Readiness Business Partners to plan and deliver ongoing training associated with new hire programs or in-person field events such as Regional Kick-Offs, Sales Reviews, etc.

  • Responsible for intake review and prioritization for ad-hoc role / functional competency requests, further elevating the skill development of the field and support organization.

  • Collaborates cross-functionally with other organizations within Guidewire responsible for creating and distributing onboarding and competency development, including Human Resources, Business Technology (Biz Tech), and each functional area.

  • Supports the future readiness strategy, delivering enablement projects to internal personas. Supports the overall readiness transformation program, aimed at migrating away from a push strategy to a pull strategy, utilizing AI capabilities to provide content in context.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Stakeholder Satisfaction: Internal and external satisfaction with the Readiness team's strategic partnership and execution of capability and technical training.

  • Business Performance: Correlation of readiness program to a specific, measurable performance improvement including product adoption and implementation quality.

  • Capacity Management: Maintenance of targets associated with assigned work, ensuring focus on management and completion.

  • Program Usefulness Score: Average post-learning usefulness score reflecting the quality, accuracy, and relevance of enablement program content.

  • Program Completion Rate: The percentage of the target audience who complete the enablement program within the designated timeframe.

  • New Hire Readiness: The percentage of Field managers who believe employees are functionally prepared after first 6 months of new role orientation.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000 - $221,000 . Your base pay will depend on your experience, skills, education, training, and location among other factors. All full-time positions or part-time roles working 30 hours or more a week at Guidewire are eligible for benefits that support their health and well-being including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a company sponsored retirement plan. In addition, some roles may be eligible for the annual company bonus plan, commissions, and/or long term incentive awards which are contingent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, company and employee performance.
