The Opportunity
This position works out of our Santa Clara, CA location in the Structural Heart Division.
Structural Heart Business Mission: why we exist.
Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life through the design and provision of device and management solutions for the treatment of structural heart disease.
The Global Strategy Manager will be part of the Global Strategy team in the Structural Heart headquarters in Santa Clara, California and will develop qualitative and quantitative market insights in support of strategic business decisions.
The candidate will be expected to quickly develop an understanding of the Structural Heart space, Abbott’s product offerings, key market dynamics and internal strategic processes. Essential success factors for this role include strong business acumen, attention to details, expertise in PowerPoint, ability to work independently under tight deadlines and strong interpersonal skills to liaise with cross-functional stakeholders.
What You’ll Work On
- Contribute to the development of strategic plans in support of the franchises by providing market insights, opportunity assessment, competitive analyses and support the creation of ad hoc reports
- Develop presentations and strategic narrative with clear story line for executive audience
- Drive the strategic goals planning process, identifying top priorities, and coordinating functional goal setting activities
- Plan and execute key medical advisory board meetings in US and EU. This includes organizing event logistics, liaise with external vendors and key opinion leaders, identify strategic topics for discussion and support the execution of the meetings.
- Perform data analysis using raw financial data files (sales, pricing etc.) and interpret results to drive business decisions
- Manage dashboards and internal platforms for data visualization, reporting and workflow management
- Lead business unit reviews for commercial and functional performance
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree required
- 6+ years of related work experience
- Experience in summarizing insights and presenting findings to management in a timely and professional manner required
- Advanced PowerPoint skills required
- Strong problem solver with proven ability to translate data into insights
- Ability to multi-task and execute multiple deliverables while meeting deadlines
- Ability to work independently, comfortable taking initiative
- Ability to travel up to 20-30%
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or other advanced degree preferred
- Experience in Medical Device, Pharma or Biotech required; experience in Structural Heart industry is desirable

The base pay for this position is
$146,700.00 – $293,300.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
