About the Role 

At Darktrace, the global events team is a strategic organization that drives brand awareness, storytelling, promotion, and networking that results in pipeline and closed won deals. The team are brand evangelists and build relationships inside and outside the company, and partner closely with external agencies, event organizations, marketing, solutions, sales, and channel to ensure strong alignment and world-class execution.  

We’re looking for a high-impact, fast-paced Manager, Global Events Marketing, to co-architect and execute our presence at the world’s most influential cybersecurity and AI events. As an experienced events manager, you will own execution, and performance across major industry events such as RSA Conference, Black Hat, Gartner Security and Risk and Management, and global brand sponsorship activations – ensuring our brand shows up with authority, creativity and measurable customer engagement and pipeline impact. This role is designed for an individual who thrives in high-stakes environments, loves orchestrating complex cross-functional programs, and knows how to run event moments into market momentum.  
 
Key Responsibilities 

Event Execution 

  • Contribute to global event strategy and plans across assigned Tier 1, Tier 2 and strategic sponsorship events. 

  • Own and manage specific objectives tied to pipeline, brand elevation, customer engagement, and competitive positioning working with executive sponsors, brand, creative and product marketing teams. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive alignment on execution, promotion and event readiness.   

  • Deliver operational excellence at every stage of pre-and post-event to ensure tracking, reporting and performance.  

Planning, Program Execution and Experience 

  • Orchestrate event plan timelines, deliverables, and production with agency partners to ensure the highest quality experience.  

  • Own the game plan for speaking opportunities, traffic, promotion, meetings and networking with creative, innovative ideas and execution. 

  • Contribute to the traffic strategy including creative, messaging, demos, and attendee experience with key stakeholders.  

  • Coordinate session content development, speaker strategy, prep, and thought leadership integration with key stakeholders. 

  • Manage logistics comfortably: booth build, AV, staffing, run-of-show, vendor management and onsite operations.  

Pipeline & Performance Accountability 

  • Work with regional marketing to build demand gen plans, meeting targets, including pre-event, onsite, and post-event motions. 

  • Partner with SDRs and sales to ensure lead follow-up, meeting scheduling, pipeline acceleration. 

  • Track KPIs: sourced pipeline, influenced pipeline, MQLs, SQOs, meetings, registration, attendance, and ROI. 

  • Deliver executive-ready reporting and insights. 

Cross-Team Collaboration 

  • Work closely with all key stakeholders including: 

  • Marketing to align all priorities and audience objectives 

  • Brand and creative services for consistent identity and activations in market to scale awareness. 

  • Product marketing for messaging, positioning, content, demos and overall value storytelling. 

  • Sales leadership and regional marketing to align event strategy to GEO, segment and territory goals. 

  • Communications, digital, regional marketing to amplify event presence and promotion across all channels.  

Operational Excellence 

  • Manage global event budget forecast and optimize spending for efficiency and ROI 

  • Manage agency relationships, production partners, and event technology platforms for optimization and high-quality execution.  

  • Manage project timeline and execution details with accuracy and on-time delivery.  

  • Communicate dependencies and adjustments to plan with clear problem solving and ability to deal with ambiguity confidently.  

What Skills and Experiences You Need 

  • 5+ years of event marketing experience planning, managing, and achieving strong outcomes for large-scale industry and company events, preferably in cybersecurity, AI, SaaS or enterprise technology 

  • Proven success in executing multiple events simultaneously managing internal and external resources, with the goal of driving pipeline and measurable outcomes. 

  • Exceptional project-management skills with the ability to juggle multiple programs simultaneously. Can demonstrate operational and organization skills and mastery of planning & execution frameworks  

  • Strong, effective communication skills and executive presence including presentation, written, verbal and cross-functional leadership. Demonstrates cross-group and 1:1 collaboration, communication and problem solving. 

  • Experience with industry-wide technologies for registration, virtual experiences, mobile applications, and more.  

  • A motivated initiative-taker that is curious shows a bias for action and can deal with ambiguity by sharing ideas and solutions as the business continues to grow and expand.  

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-growth environments. Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, marketing, or related field preferred 

  • Willing to travel up to 50%.
