Signalites are the incredible people who make up CodeSignal’s global team. We believe every Signalite should be given the context to understand decisions, the freedom to act independently, and the responsibility to do what’s right. These principles build upon each other to drive motivation, speed, innovation, and a results-oriented, high-performing culture. We believe that culture is not just about principles, but also behaviors. This belief can be seen and felt in everything we do as Signalites.
The Role
We’re hiring a Senior Manager, FP&A & Business Operations to be the strategic finance partner to our executive team and our GTM organization (Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, RevOps). You’ll own how CodeSignal forecasts, plans, and measures the business: the operating model, the annual plan, quota setting, and the dashboards leadership uses to make decisions. You’ll report to the VP of Finance & Operations, and you’ll turn data into clear recommendations on where we invest, how we grow, and how efficiently we do it. This role suits a builder who is equally comfortable in a three-statement model and a pipeline review, who does well in ambiguity, and who wants a real seat at the table in a scaling AI/SaaS company.
What You’ll Do
Forecasting, Planning & Modeling
- Own the company’s operating model and rolling forecast for revenue, headcount, opex, cash, and key SaaS metrics.
- Lead the annual planning and budgeting cycle, and the quarterly re-forecasts, with leadership and department heads.
- Build models that support product launches, pricing and packaging changes, new GTM motions, and other growth initiatives.
- Deliver monthly budget-vs-actuals and variance analysis, with clear explanations of what’s driving performance.
- Run scenario and sensitivity analyses to inform hiring plans, investment decisions, and runway planning.
GTM & Revenue Partnership
- Partner with Sales, CS, and RevOps on targets, quota setting, territory and capacity planning, and compensation plan design.
- Track pipeline health, conversion, and bookings to make topline projections more reliable.
- Own and report on core SaaS metrics
- Model the impact of deal structures, discounting, and multi-year agreements on revenue and cash.
Executive Reporting & Insights
- Design and maintain dashboards and recurring reports for the executive team and department leaders.
- Prepare financial content for board meetings and investor updates, including KPI packages, plan-vs-actual narratives, and forward-looking outlooks.
- Translate complex analysis into concise recommendations that drive decisions.
Business Operations, Process & Systems
- Partner with Accounting so the close, headcount, and planning data stay in sync and the forecast reflects reality.
- Own headcount planning and tracking alongside People Ops.
- Improve FP&A tooling and data infrastructure (e.g., planning software, BI tools, CRM and ERP integrations), and find chances to automate manual reporting.
- Document planning processes and build scalable, repeatable workflows as the company grows.
Experience
- 6–10+ years in FP&A, Strategic Finance, or Business Finance, including 3+ years at a B2B SaaS company. Investment banking, valuation, or Big 4 advisory experience is a plus.
- A track record of owning a company-level operating model and leading annual planning end to end.
- Direct experience partnering with Sales and GTM leaders on quota setting, capacity planning, and pipeline-based forecasting.
- Experience preparing board-level materials and presenting to executives.
- Growth-stage (Series B–D) experience preferred, where you’ve built process rather than inherited it.
Skills
- Expert-level financial modeling in Excel or Google Sheets, with a deep understanding of the three statements and SaaS unit economics.
- Strong data skills: comfortable with BI and visualization tools and pulling data from CRM (Salesforce) and ERP systems. SQL is a strong plus but not required.
- Experience with FP&A or planning platforms is a plus.
- Interest in using AI tools to speed up analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communicator who can tell the story behind the numbers to finance and non-finance audiences alike.
- Highly detail-oriented, with sound business judgment and the ability to balance rigor with speed.
- Self-starter who’s comfortable with ambiguity and owns outcomes in a fully remote environment.
