JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior Finance Manager role is a hands-on position that supports Fox Sports LATAM business, including working closely with the local Mexico and corporate finance teams. This role requires an in-depth understanding of finance, accounting, and financial reporting, preferably in the Media and/or sports industry. This is a high-visibility role due to the launch of a new business in Mexico, including a recent acquisition.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparation of forecast, annual budget, and long-range plan, including working directly with operational leads
  • Consolidation of business units’ financials, including domestic and foreign entities
  • Financial reporting submissions, including budget, forecast, financial results (PL, cash flow, etc)
  • Review and provide support for financial statement variances
  • Review contracts for Sports Programming and prepare/manage a schedule of rights payments and amortization
  • Analyze and report revenue and related metrics
  • Establish regular communication with other business units to coordinate on intercompany transactions
  • Balance sheet analysis and Trial balance oversight for both Corporate and Statutory submissions
  • FX Accounting & Reporting
  • Work with and review local Mexico team’s monthly and quarterly reporting deliverables
  • Collaborate with local Mexico operations teams to understand local processes and contractual obligations
  • Facilitate financial systems support (Workday, etc.) related to statutory or other requirements
  • Manage monthly close process, including preparing and/or reviewing journal entries
  • Assist Mexico team on day-to-day activities, including AP, AR, and other accounting functions and reporting
  • Coordinate with and provide support to auditors and tax department as needed
  • Manage 1 staff member to assist with all deliverables

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or a related field
  • 10+ years of related experience in accounting and finance
  • Written and verbal proficiency in Spanish
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, detail-oriented, and meet time-sensitive deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the aptitude to communicate with all levels of management
  • Leadership experience in managing, developing, and training staff
  • Strong overall computer skills, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint 

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • Experience with Workday Financials, Reporting Tools, and Foundation Data Model (FDM)
  • CPA

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $128,000.00-149,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
