Role overview
Brigit is looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Senior Manager or Director of Finance to help steer our next phase of growth. This role is perfect for a finance leader who has navigated both high-growth startup environments and larger public companies, and who’s excited by the opportunity to build and scale in a fast-paced, mission-driven fintech company.
You’ll partner closely with senior leadership – including the VP of Finance and CEO – to shape financial strategy, lead forecasting and reporting, and drive insights that influence major business decisions. This is a high-impact role with visibility at the executive and board level, offering meaningful opportunities for growth and leadership.
What you’ll be doing
-
Financial Reporting & Insights: Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for Brigit and our parent company. Deliver clear, actionable insights to executive leadership through financial and unit economics analysis
-
Forecasting & Budgeting: Own and evolve Brigit’s 3-statement and unit economic models. Drive budgeting and forecasting in close partnership with functional leads to ensure alignment with strategic goals
-
Strategic Finance & Scenario Planning: Build models to evaluate new initiatives, investment opportunities, and business scenarios. Present recommendations that inform long-term planning and resource allocation
-
Cash Flow & Capital Efficiency: Monitor cash flow and working capital. Provide guidance on optimizing liquidity and ensuring we deploy capital effectively to support sustainable growth
-
Cross-Functional Partnership: Serve as a trusted finance partner to teams across the company – translating financial data into strategic decisions, and helping others understand the financial impact of their work
-
Process Development: Design and implement scalable finance processes that grow with the business – especially around spend management and reporting automation
What you have
-
Experience: 7+ years in finance, including experience at a high-growth startup and/or public company. Background in investment banking or consulting is a plus. Fintech, lending, or consumer subscription experience is highly valued
-
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. CPA or CFA certifications are a bonus
-
Financial Expertise: Strong command of FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, unit economics (LTV:CAC, retention, ARPU), and GAAP
-
Tools & Tech: Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with ERP systems and BI tools. Familiarity with SQL is a plus
-
Communication Skills: Comfortable presenting complex financial information to diverse audiences, including senior leadership
-
Leadership & Influence: Proven ability to lead projects, manage competing priorities, and influence cross-functional teams in high-growth settings
Location
This is a full-time role which will operate out of Brigit’s New York office, with the option to work remotely 1-2x per week, based on business needs.
