We are seeking a dependable Senior Manager, Experiential and Events, with a high degree of ethical compass, who thrives on high energy, moves fast, thinks big, and LOVES SPORTS! The Senior Manager, Experiential and Events will demonstrate strong ownership of projects, bringing original thinking, sharp execution, and creative strategy to deliver elevated, meaningful engagements that build and maintain trust with fans, stakeholders, and internal teams. They are a go-getter, specializing in big picture ideation and full project ownership, managing budgets $500K+. This role requires anticipating stakeholder needs, providing creative solutions, and expertly leading and inspiring teams to create events and activations with minimal oversight, ensuring stakeholder goals are brought to life. 

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and own event strategy development across events and activations, staying “in the know” on the hottest industry trends through research and ideation
  • Lead and manage successful, on-budget mid- to large-scale in-person and virtual events, corporate meetings, presentations, and activations
  • Lead administrative support, tech, and freelancers on mid to large-sized events with minimal oversight, and lead stakeholder calls
  • Lead in the development of external partnerships and event sponsorships
  • Oversee and own event playbook, creating workback schedules, DACI, invoice tracking, and budget reporting
  • Create and lead manageable goals that are project, department, and individually specific, and establish marketing metrics to inform stakeholders and deliver ROI
  • Communicate and collaborate clearly with FED Technology and Design teams, with an understanding of technical event needs and graphic specifications, and manage production
  • Manage all event logistics, including food and beverage, design, rentals, layouts, rooming lists, parking, budgets, and recaps
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, effectively manage their expectations, ask thoughtful, strategic questions to inform stakeholder decisions, actively listen to understand stakeholder objectives, define key goals, and develop actionable plans that support informed decision-making and advance strategic priorities
  • Track, measure, and report on event success using data metrics and KPIs to realize business goals
  • Negotiate hotel contracts and vendor agreements
  • Provide event recaps and billing debriefs
  • Support senior business leads on larger-scale events, meetings, and hospitality programs, both domestic and international, as needed

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Bachelor’s degree or other relevant event and event production experience
  • 7+ years of hands-on and supervisory experience
  • Current knowledge of restaurants and venues, positive relationships with relevant vendors
  • Passion for sports, broad knowledge of sports leagues and teams, and a deep understanding of their businesses, fandoms, and corresponding individual cultures
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, and can communicate event ideas and turn them into reality
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, and ever-changing environment without administrative support, and be able to make quick reflex decisions under pressure with grace
  • Ability to work overtime, over many days during a project, without skipping a beat and staying sharp
  • Able to travel up to 40% of the time, depending on project and business needs
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Monday.com, basic database applications, and A.I. internet searches
  • Willingness to get “hands dirty” with packing, unpacking, and lifting boxes, setting up a production office, and standing on feet for more than 4 hours at a time while on-site at events

  • Beginner to intermediate experience with textual analysis in analytics reporting and AI

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $100,000.00-110,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
