Meet Benevity

Benevity is the way the world does good, providing companies (and their employees) with technology to take social action on the issues they care about. Through giving, volunteering, grantmaking, employee resource groups and micro-actions, we help most of the Fortune 100 brands build better cultures and use their power for good. We’re also one of the first B Corporations in Canada, meaning we’re as committed to purpose as we are to profits. We have people working all over the world, including Canada, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States and more!

As the Senior Event & Experiences Manager, you’ll be responsible for strategizing, planning, executing, and measuring the success of Benevity’s in-person events portfolio — including local events, sponsored trade shows, and our annual flagship conference, Benevity Live, which brings together 600+ purpose-driven professionals from around the globe.

You’ll play a key role in driving pipeline growth and deepening engagement with our clients and prospects, ensuring every touchpoint reflects a world-class experience that embodies the Benevity brand.

In addition, you’ll lead and mentor a small team of event professionals, fostering collaboration, creativity, and operational excellence. You’ll provide strategic direction, set priorities, and ensure alignment across all event initiatives in support of Benevity’s growth goals.

This is a highly cross-functional role, working closely with teams across Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Operations, Sales (Land & Expand), and Customer Success to ensure events deliver measurable business outcomes.

What you'll do:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing events team, providing guidance, support, and opportunities for growth while ensuring clear accountability and alignment with company objectives.
  • Plan, execute, and optimize Benevity’s in-person events portfolio — including regional activations, sponsored trade shows, and Benevity Live — maintaining a detailed budget and ensuring events come in under budgetary targets.
  • Develop and execute event strategies tied to pipeline and revenue growth goals, setting measurable objectives to evaluate success.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and customer success teams to align event strategy with broader go-to-market initiatives.
  • Oversee all logistics and production — including venue selection, vendor management, AV coordination, staffing, and on-site execution.
  • Partner with demand generation and content teams to lead pre- and post-event communications that maximize attendance, engagement, and follow-up.
  • Ensure a world-class attendee experience for clients, prospects, and partners — bringing Benevity’s brand and purpose to life at every touchpoint.
  • Track and report on event ROI, including leads, pipeline impact, and client engagement metrics.
  • Manage relationships with external partners and event platforms (Cvent, Zuddl, etc.) to deliver seamless and scalable event execution.
  • Drive continuous improvement across the events function, optimizing processes, tools, and best practices to elevate quality and efficiency.

What you'll bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in event planning, production, and execution — preferably within B2B SaaS (corporate giving a plus!).
  • 2+ years of experience leading or mentoring a team, with a passion for developing people and fostering collaboration.
  • Proven ability to manage complex events end-to-end, with a focus on measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of event ROI and experience using data to guide strategy and reporting.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills; you thrive on juggling multiple priorities with precision and calm.
  • Deep client empathy and commitment to delivering a world-class attendee experience.
  • Collaborative and proactive communicator, comfortable leading cross-functional initiatives and bringing internal stakeholders along.
  • Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, and event management platforms such as Cvent or Zuddl.
  • A creative problem-solver who brings new ideas and energy to every project.
  • Expected travel 25%; must be able to travel to the United States and Europe.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Join a company recognized for its purpose-driven culture and global impact.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
