About the Role: We are seeking a strategic and technically strong Senior Manager of Enterprise Systems and Identity to lead the design, management, and governance of our enterprise applications and identity ecosystem. This role will own the lifecycle of business-critical systems, ensure secure and efficient identity and access management, and establish scalable processes for SaaS intake, observability, and configuration management.

The ideal candidate will be adept at balancing security, usability, and operational excellence across enterprise applications such as Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Email, and emerging AI productivity tools (e.g., Glean, ChatGPT). This leader will partner with IT, Security, and business stakeholders to deliver a frictionless employee experience while ensuring compliance, resiliency, and cost-effectiveness.

Key ResponsibilitiesEnterprise Applications & Systems Management
  • Own and manage core enterprise SaaS applications portfolio, including Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Glean, ChatGPT, and other company-wide tools.
  • Develop and oversee application intake processes for evaluating, onboarding, hardening and deprecating SaaS tools.
  • Implement and maintain SaaS lifecycle management, including procurement, ongoing vendor governance, asset management, licensing, renewals, and decommissioning.
  • Ensure consistent configuration management, alignment with security policies, and best practices across all enterprise systems.
  • Partner with Product Managers to drive ongoing improvements, ensuring a delightful experience for customers of our platforms.
Identity & Access Management
  • Define and execute IAM policies for Joiner-Mover-Leaver flows (provisioning, de-provisioning, and role and attribute-based access across enterprise systems.
  • Own and optimize our Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Privileged Access Management (PAM) systems.
  • Regularly conduct access reviews, audits, and certification campaigns to meet compliance requirements and ensure principles of least privilege.
  • Partner with Security to ensure IAM practices align with Zero Trust principles, driving initiatives including time-bound Just-In-Time access provisioning.
Observability, Health, and Safety
  • Develop and maintain system health dashboards and observability frameworks for enterprise apps.
  • Establish monitoring and alerting for system uptime, performance, and security misconfigurations.
  • Introduce infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices for enterprise application configuration and policy enforcement.
  • Proactively manage risks by ensuring resilience, backup, and recovery strategies are in place.
Governance & Process Development
  • Build and standardize processes for application intake, vendor assessment, and lifecycle management.
  • Define operational metrics and reporting on application usage, cost, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Procurement on license optimization and cost efficiency.
  • Lead cross-functional governance for enterprise app adoption and retirement decisions.
Leadership & Collaboration
  • Develop, manage and mentor a team of systems engineers and IAM specialists.
  • Partner closely with Security, IT, Engineering, and HR on identity and systems strategy.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for enterprise system outages, incidents, and audits.
  • Champion employee productivity by ensuring secure, reliable, and intuitive system experiences.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise IT dedicated to identity and systems engineering, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven expertise with SaaS governance/lifecycle management platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of IAM technologies (Okta, Azure AD, SailPoint, Opal, CyberArk, 1Password, Vault or similar).
  • Hands-on experience with observability platforms, monitoring tools, and IaC frameworks (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
  • Demonstrable Software engineering / coding experience (preferably Python/Go)
  • Demonstrable scripting experience (Bash, Powershell) 
  • Familiarity with compliance and audit frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, SOX, GDPR, HIPPA).
  • Demonstrated ability to scale processes and systems in a high-growth environment.
Preferred Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Professional certifications (CISSP, CISM, ITIL, or CIAM).
  • Experience leading enterprise application programs in cloud-native, SaaS-heavy organizations.
  • Experience with AI productivity and collaboration tools and associated security concerns.

The base salary range for this role is $188,000 to $275,000. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility).

While we prioritize a hybrid work environment, remote work may be considered for candidates located more than 30 miles from an office, based on role requirements for specialized skill sets.
