About Us

Applecart is the leading technology company that C-suites rely on to reach business-critical decision makers. The most important decisions are made by the hardest people to reach and influence. Historically, C-suite leaders have lacked the tools to reach the stakeholders who matter most to their business. The C-suites of hundreds of Fortune 500 companies, major agencies, trade associations, nonprofits, and governments use Applecart to put their best content in front of business-critical decision makers and those they trust —  from policymakers and investors to CEOs, key employees, members of the media and more. Decision makers are informed by what they read, learn from advisors, hear from colleagues, and discuss with family and friends. To break through to them, you must reach them through the only channel that really moves them: those they know and trust. Applecart’s platform uses publicly available data to map billions of social relationships between nearly every American adult and enable clients to deliver content directly to decision makers and those who matter most to them.

We are hiring a Senior Manager, Employee Experience in our NYC Office.

About the Role

You will be responsible for managing how Applecart employees come together. You will shape how our team connects, collaborates, and builds community. You'll own the end-to-end execution of our employee experience programs, from high-impact company off-site events to happy hours and department gatherings. Beyond events, you’ll keep our core People & Culture initiatives moving seamlessly day-to-day, ensuring every touchpoint lands on time and feels intentional and thoughtful.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead planning and execution of in-office events and experiences, including recurring programs (ie: Team Events, Happy Hours, etc.), team gatherings, and culture moments.
  • Lead and organize monthly off-site experiences, such as attending sporting events, Broadway shows, and other engaging initiatives.
  • Partner with department leads on planning their own team events, including sourcing, budget guidance, and acting as a sounding board for the agenda and logistics.
  • Track spend in real time against event budgets and reconcile with the Finance team.
  • Manage logistics, communications, and scheduling for company-wide initiatives.
  • Own recognition and swag fulfillment end-to-end.
  • Gather post-event feedback and actionable data through surveys and team check-ins to continuously iterate and elevate future programs.
  • Develop clear narratives and recommendations that help leaders move from data to action.
  • Build and refine processes that hold up as the company grows.

Experiences and Capabilities You Bring

  • 6+ years in event program management, employee experience, or a related operations role
  • A proactive, 'no task too small' mindset
  • Experience working in a high-growth startup, scaleup, or similar environment
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environment
  • Impeccable attention to detail; superior organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and maintain strong internal working relationships

This is a hybrid role. Work from home on Monday and Friday and in Applecart’s New York City office Tuesday through Thursday.

Compensation

Our compensation package consists of three components: (i) a base salary, (ii) annual cash bonus, and (iii) generous equity compensation.

The base salary range for this role is between $120,000 - $135,000, based on the candidate's experience and skills relative to the requirements listed above. What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
