Senior Manager, Electrical Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Industrialization

- Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for Electrical commodities (Harnesses, Connectors, PCBAs, Battery, Semiconductor) to drive cost savings, quality improvements, and supply chain resilience.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers with strong capabilities in Electrical manufacturing.
- Lead supplier negotiations, including pricing, contracts, and long-term agreements.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to align sourcing strategies with company objectives.
- Lead supplier readiness for New Product Introduction (NPI) and ensure seamless transition to mass production.
- Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) initiatives to optimize performance and cost.
- Conduct supplier audits, technical assessments, and risk evaluations to ensure capacity and compliance.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers to enhance quality, delivery, and efficiency.
- Build and lead a high-performing team of sourcing professionals and supplier industrialization engineers.
- Scale the team to meet the organization’s fast-paced growth needs, ensuring talent development and retention.
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and career development opportunities for team members.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and results-driven performance.
- Track and report key metrics, including cost savings, supplier quality (PPM), on-time delivery, and supplier capacity.
- Develop and implement scalable processes to improve supplier management and operational efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Electrical Engineering, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or supplier development roles, with at least 3+ years of people management experience.
- Experience managing and scaling teams in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment, leading supplier industrialization efforts for NPI and scaling production.
- Expertise in mechanical and composites categories, including materials, manufacturing processes, and supply chain dynamics.
- Expertise in manufacturing processes such as soldering, precision crimping, PCBA manufacturing, IPC standards, SMT processing, CAD, GD&T
- Ability to relocate, if not already local to be onsite in Costa Mesa, CA
- Proven ability to lead supplier industrialization efforts for NPI and scaling production.
- Proficiency in supplier qualification processes (FAI, PPAP, APQP) and quality management systems (ISO, AS9100).
- Experience with ERP systems and data analysis tools for cost modeling and performance tracking.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
