The Opportunity

As a pivotal member of our team, the Senior Manager, Demand Partnerships will serve as the primary liaison between Kargo and DSP partners.  This role demands a robust understanding of ad tech, coupled with the capability to cultivate and propel partnerships forward in terms of both revenue and innovative products for our publisher marketplace.  Collaboration is key, as you'll engage cross-functionally with Kargo’s Sales, Client Services, Campaign Management, Publisher Management, and Product/Engineering teams to drive growth in

The Daily To-Do

  • Facilitate regular communication by conducting weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly calls with DSP partners, focusing on day-to-day objectives & identifying new business opportunities to deepen partnerships
  • Deep understanding of Kargo products, offering and best practices to support DSP managed service campaigns and meet client objectives
  • Analyze programmatic Always On Deal ID revenue stream data to draw insights and create strategy recommendations to increase that revenue
  • Monitor and analyze Open Auction revenue trends (RPM, response rates, bid CPMs, win rates, etc) and make recommendations on how to optimize Kargo’s auction to maximize revenue and profitability
  • Monitor and investigate/resolve discrepancies with DSP partners to ensure programmatic margins are maintained at or above expectations
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams; Sales, Client Services, Campaign Management, Design, Product Marketing, and Product/Engineering to ensure DSP project initiatives continually progress forward
  • Understand DSPs biggest challenges and what features they are building for the future; identify where Kargo's initiatives align with DSPs
  • Lead and participate in quarterly, mid-year, or year-end business reviews with DSP partners to identify new business opportunities, discuss product roadmap, and align on upcoming priorities
  • Assist in collecting market feedback from clients and DSPs, and translate these needs/wants into products or features that Kargo can build to accommodate and increase efficiencies
  • Explore, evaluate, and facilitate product initiatives pertaining to DSPs
  • Remain abreast of industry trends by actively engaging in discussions with managers and counterparts, understanding their impact on Kargo

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience in a media, startup, tech, or digital company
  • Familiarity with industry jargon and media metrics
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, particularly in building and maintaining strong relationships
  • Clear understanding of how programmatic buying works between DSPs and SSPs
  • Highly strategic, proactive and solution-oriented
  • Internal motivation (self-starter) with a strong sense of urgency to drive projects to completion
  • Teamwork, interpersonal & relationship-building skills to thrive in a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to navigate multiple competing priorities
  • Strong analytic skills to deliver reporting insights
  • Understanding of ad servers (DFA, DFP), and 3rd party tags and tracking methodology (Celtra, Moat, IAS) is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
