About the role

The Sr. Manager, Creative Production oversees the Production arm of the Creative Production & Finance department. This role manages all aspects of physical production for Marketing initiatives, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and on-brand execution. From content capture at conventions and activations to overseeing shoots, livestreams, and ancillary capture at large-scale events like the Anime Awards, this role provides the operational and creative leadership needed to deliver world-class productions.

This role also carries responsibility of budget management and oversight on productions. The Sr. Manager will serve as the first reviewer of production budgets, ensuring accuracy, feasibility, and alignment with project goals. They will manage vendor budgets, internal team budgets, and production spend tracking, while escalating and submitting for final approvals to department leadership.

This position is designed to build toward a Director of Production path, with increasing responsibility for scaling the production function, mentoring team members, and driving operational excellence across all creative projects.

  • Lead production on all physical shoots, including interviews, photo shoots, talent shoots, and other content capture.
  • Oversee creative content capture at domestic conventions, including BTS coverage, panels, social-first capture, and event documentation.
  • Manage production for live action shoots and live streams as well as content capture at activations, experiential marketing events, screenings, premieres, and other areas as needed.
  • Ensure all productions meet creative expectations, technical standards, and budget/timeline requirements.
  • Manage and mentor the Creative Production team
  • Serve as the first reviewer of production budgets before submission to leadership.
  • Manage vendor budgets, ensuring scope, rates, and costs align with project goals and approved spend.
  • Track and reconcile internal production budgets to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Work closely with Creative Production & Finance leadership on budget escalations, approvals, and financial forecasting.
About You
  • 12+ years in physical production with experience in digital, commercial, event, social, short form content. 
  • 8+ years of experience managing vendors and teams
  • Project management skills with an expertise in production budgeting software (Movie Magic, Showbiz, Excel based budgeting)
  • Experience managing multiple production teams across various projects
  • Knowledge of international production 
  • Experience working at entertainment studios
  • Experience building and streamlining workflows
  • Bachelor's degree in Film, Media, or equivalent experience

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees.
