Lead and manage cost, operational, and revenue accounting, ensure US GAAP compliance, support cross-functional partnerships, and drive financial process automation in a fast-paced environment.
We are seeking a highly strategic and hands-on Senior Manager, Cost, Operational and Revenue Accounting to lead key areas of cost accounting, operational accounting, andrevenue accounting, within a fast-growing and highly complex environment. This role will be responsible for overseeing cost of sales, product, technical revenue accounting,and fleet-related accounting, and scalable financial processes supporting Zoox’scommercial operations.
This leader will partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Data Science, Supply Chain,Legal, and Systems teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, operational scalability,and compliance with US GAAP and SOX requirements.The ideal candidate brings a strong mix of technical accounting expertise, operationalaccounting experience, and leadership capabilities within high-growth technology,mobility, or operationally intensive environments.
In this role, you will...
- Own and execute accounting for cost of sales, cost of product, fleet operations, and operational expenses, including allocation and accrual methodologies
- Assist with revenue accounting operations, including ASC 606 analysis and revenue recognition conclusions
- Partner with FP&A to support gross margin and robotaxi production reporting, and operational analytics
- Review commercial contracts and evaluate accounting implications
- Prepare and review technical accounting memos and accounting position papers
- Drive process automation and ERP optimization initiatives, including GLA creation and accrual and allocation methodologies
- Support external audits, SOX compliance, and internal control programs
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Product teams on new business initiatives and operational launches
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- 12+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
- Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and technical accounting principles
- Experience with cost accounting, operational accounting, and gross margin analysis
- Background in mobility, SaaS, manufacturing, hardware-tech, logistics, or other operationally intensive industries
- Experience supporting complex cross-functional business operations
- Strong ERP systems experience, including SAP
- Proven ability to build scalable processes in high-growth environments
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environmen
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with fleet or service-based operational accounting
- Experience implementing or optimizing ERP systems and automation tools
- Prior experience in autonomous vehicle, transportation, robotics, or technology industries
- Strong analytical and process improvement mindset
