Job Description

The Senior Manager, Content Marketing plays a critical role in shaping and executing the company’s content strategy to drive brand awareness, engagement, and demand generation. This position defines and oversees all aspects of content marketing, ensuring alignment with business goals by working cross-functionally across departments.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Corporate Marketing, this role is responsible for planning and maintaining the content marketing calendar, setting content standards, and optimizing content distribution to maximize impact. The Senior Manager ensures that content efforts are strategic, data-driven, and continuously evolving to meet industry best practices and market demands.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Content Planning & Execution – Work with Content Specialists and the broader marketing team to develop and maintain a comprehensive marketing calendar covering all business categories.
  • Program Oversight – Lead key content initiatives across multiple programs including case studies, translations, product reviews, and research reports, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with business goals.
  • Standards & Best Practices – Establish and enforce guidelines according to brand standards for content creation, distribution, maintenance, retrieval, and repurposing. Work collaboratively with Brand to define, manage, and champion content marketing guidelines.
  • Team Leadership – Manage and mentor direct reports, freelancers, and agencies to ensure high-quality content production and timely execution.
  • Budget Tracking & Oversight – Maintain Content team budget tracking, monthly accruals, team-specific purchase order submissions, and other team-level budget tasks as assigned.

Achievements/Goals within first 6-12 months:

  • First 3 Months:
    • Learn content processes, workflows, and key programs while building relationships across teams.
    • Assess content performance and identify initial improvement areas.
  • First 6 Months:
    • Take full ownership of content marketing processes and develop product and industry knowledge.
    • Identify quick wins to enhance content quality, efficiency, and distribution.
  • First 12 Months:
    • Optimize content strategy using industry insights and performance data.
    • Improve key content programs (case studies, research reports, etc.) via feedback loops and other strategies for greater impact.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in content writing, content marketing, or marketing communications with an eye for detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Marketing or relevant field.
  • Strong writing skills to set and raise the standard across the content team.
  • Experience following AP Style and brand voice, tone, and personality guidelines.
  • Experience in end-to-end project management, involving multiple teams and senior stakeholders
  • Leadership abilities to coach and motivate a team effectively.
  • The ability to shape and lead thought leadership reports, ensuring they align with our business goals.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced B2B finance or technology company strongly preferred.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely articulate complex concepts.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and shift workload to meet deadlines.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced work environment; flexibility is a must.
  • Previous experience with Wrike and Airtable will be considered a plus.
