Senior Manager, Content & Brand

 Level: M3 |
Location: CAN/USA | Remote
Reports To: Michael Scott, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

Type: Permanent | Full-Time

The Role

At Solink, our mission is to safeguard what matters most. We provide businesses with the tools to know sooner and act faster by transforming video into real-time operational insights. Our cloud-based platform integrates seamlessly with existing cameras and systems, turning them into intelligent sensors that detect and interpret key moments — empowering teams to make data-driven decisions, enhance security, and improve operational efficiency. Trusted by over 30,000 locations across 32+ countries, including brands like McDonald's and JYSK, Solink delivers clarity when it counts.

Solink is looking for a Senior Manager, Content & Brand to build the narrative and content engine that establishes Solink as the leader of our category — and to arm our Sales and Marketing teams with the content assets that drive demand. You'll own our category point of view, our educational thought-leadership content, and our speaker & influencer program, turning Solink's expertise into content the market seeks out.

This is a player-coach role for someone who can set a brand narrative, build a content program around it, and lead a team (plus a network of freelancers/agencies) to ship on a consistent cadence.

What You'll Be Doing

Category & Brand Narrative

  • Define and maintain Solink's category narrative and brand point of view, in partnership with Product Marketing and executive stakeholders.

  • Commission or produce original research and data-driven thought leadership (e.g., industry benchmark reports, trend studies) that positions Solink as the category authority.

Content Strategy & Editorial Calendar

  • Build and manage an editorial calendar covering owned channels (blog, LinkedIn, newsletter),, and owned executive channels (speaking, podcasts).

  • Set the quality bar and editorial standards across the content program.

Speaker & Influencer Program

  • Run the trade-focused speaker and influencer program end-to-end: prospecting and vetting speakers/influencers, securing speaking slots and partnerships, briefing spokespeople, and measuring reach and pipeline impact.

  • Manage Solink executives, customers, and external partners/analysts as speakers, panelists, and content collaborators at relevant trade events.

Sales & Marketing Enablement

  • Partner with Sales and Demand Gen to turn thought-leadership content into enablement assets — battlecards, social proof points, webinar content, and campaign copy.

  • Convert content into usable assets (talk tracks, one-pagers, social content, sales decks) that reps and campaigns can deploy directly.

Team & Vendor Management

  • Manage a content team and/or a network of freelance writers, designers, and agencies.

  • Manage budget for content production, speaker fees/sponsorships, and influencer partnerships.

Measurement & Reporting

  • Own content performance measurement (engagement, share of voice, pipeline influence) and report against goals to marketing leadership.

A Little Bit About You
  • 7+ years in content marketing, brand marketing, or content strategy roles, including B2B SaaS or a comparable technical category.

  • 2+ years of direct people management or managing a mixed team of employees, freelancers, and agencies.

  • Demonstrated ownership of a brand or category narrative, and experience turning it into a sustained content program (not a single campaign).

  • Experience building or running a speaker, analyst, or influencer program (conferences, paid podcasts, partner co-marketing).

  • Strong editorial judgment and hands-on writing/editing ability; comfortable both setting strategy and producing content directly when needed.

  • Track record partnering closely with Sales and/or Demand Gen to convert content into pipeline-supporting assets.

Role Expectations

This is an M3 level role — Solink's Senior Manager archetype. At Solink, individuals at this level are key leaders within their department: they effectively manage their team, provide strategic guidance on organizational initiatives and priorities, set direction independently, and execute at a high level.

In this role, you'll be expected to:

  • Lead large-scale projects and initiatives that have an impact on the organization, while keeping Solink's strategy and goals top of mind.

  • Operate with very little supervision and a high level of autonomy.

  • Lend a strong voice in developing the strategic goals of Marketing and the broader organization.

  • Drive, manage, and make decisions on overall content and brand prioritization and execution within the agreed strategy.

  • Develop and mentor your team members (and manage freelancers/agencies) to achieve team and career goals.

  • Manage the work of leads and/or senior contributors across multiple stakeholders — Sales, Demand Gen, Product Marketing, and executive spokespeople.

  • Identify goals and scope the team's work, and hold the team accountable for its output.

  • Proactively resolve cross-team dependencies and conflicts, and champion adoption of new content and brand processes.

What success looks like:
  • Content & Brand is recognized as a strategic partner to Sales and Demand Gen, not an on-demand content shop.

  • The narrative, editorial calendar (e.g., blogs, assets), and speaker/influencer program you build operate on a predictable cadence and outlast any single campaign.

  • Your team — direct reports, freelancers, and agencies — is developing toward the next level, with clear ownership and accountability.

Key Outcomes:
  • A published, cross-functionally adopted category narrative and messaging framework.

  • A running content engine (editorial calendar, production pipeline) shipping on a consistent cadence.

  • A launched speaker & influencer program with a defined roster and a first cohort of secured placements.

  • Documented lift in share of voice/category association and in Sales-reported use of content assets in deals.

Nice-to-Have:
  • Experience in physical security, loss prevention, retail operations, or another category with a strong operations/data angle.

  • Experience commissioning or producing original research/data studies as thought-leadership content.

  • Familiarity with content and social analytics tooling, and comfort reporting content performance in business terms (pipeline, share of voice) rather than vanity metrics.

Security Requirements
  • Candidates must undergo a criminal records check upon hire;

  • Be a Canadian or American Citizen, or eligible to work in Canada or the United States.

  • Be willing to comply with Solink’s own security policies and standards.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
