The Opportunity
We’re looking for a strategic, creative, and action-oriented Brand & PR leader to help Postman scale its brand presence and narrative. You’ll be both a strategic architect and an operator—owning brand positioning and reputation while driving high-impact Brand and PR campaigns, as well as executive visibility.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned communications pro with a strong background in brand storytelling, media relations, and thought leadership. What You’ll Do
- Work with Product Marketing and Content to define and evolve Postman’s brand narrative and strategic positioning
- Own end-to-end global PR strategy and execution, including regional agency management, media outreach, and campaign planning
- Craft compelling storylines that elevate Postman’s role in the API economy and secure coverage in top-tier tech and business media
- Lead executive visibility efforts: develop thought leadership platforms, bylines, and speaking opportunities for key leaders
- Serve as the steward of Postman’s brand voice and positioning—partnering with Content, Campaigns, and Product Marketing teams to ensure all campaigns, launches, and external communications reflect a consistent and compelling brand narrative
- Partner closely with Developer Relations and Community teams to ensure brand storytelling aligns with our developer-first ethos
- Track and report on brand health, media coverage, and campaign performance—translating insights into action
- Manage issues and crisis communications as needed in partnership with legal, security, and leadership
- Provide regular updates on ongoing initiatives, risks, and opportunities to cross-functional stakeholders and executive leadership
- Continuously monitor trends, competitor moves, and cultural moments to identify whitespace for Postman to lead
About You
- 8–12+ years of experience in brand, PR, or communications (preferably in tech, SaaS, or developer-first environments)
- Experience leading strategy and collaborating with regional agencies
- Proven success building and executing brand and PR programs at scale, with a portfolio of high-impact campaigns and media wins
- Deep media relations experience and a strong network of contacts in tech, business, and developer media
- Excellent writing, messaging, and storytelling skills with a sharp editorial eye
- Strong understanding of developer communities, technical audiences, and how to build authentic relationships with them
- Ability to juggle multiple projects with different stakeholders while staying grounded in strategic goals
- Calm, confident, and creative under pressure—especially during high-stakes or time-sensitive situations
- Experience managing agencies, budgets, and external partners
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and global environment
The reasonably estimated base salary for this role ranges from $138,000 - $187,000, plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
