Position Overview
1-800-Flowers.com, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager, Advertising Operations to help strengthen and scale the operational foundation supporting paid media and measurement across the enterprise.
This hands-on role will establish standards for campaign activation, taxonomy, tracking, QA, platform governance, and troubleshooting. The position will work closely with Paid Media, Analytics, Product/MarTech, IT/Engineering, Customer/Data, Finance, agencies, and platform partners to improve execution speed, data quality, and measurement consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Campaign Operations & Governance: Establish standards for campaign setup, trafficking, naming conventions, activation, QA, documentation, and launch readiness across paid media channels.
- Taxonomy & Measurement: Partner with Analytics, MarTech, and Paid Media teams to define and maintain campaign taxonomy, UTMs, channel classifications, and naming structures that support reporting, attribution, MMM/MTA, and incrementality.
- Tracking & Conversion Delivery: Support governance and troubleshooting across pixels, server-side integrations, CAPI/API connections, and other conversion-data feeds.
- QA & Troubleshooting: Develop repeatable QA processes, escalation paths, and incident-management practices; identify root causes and prevent recurring issues.
- Platform & Vendor Onboarding: Lead or support onboarding/offboarding of ad platforms, DSPs, measurement partners, publishers, and agencies, including access, permissions, data configuration, documentation, and operating swim lanes.
- Audience & Data Enablement: Partner with data teams, publishers, DSPs, and platforms to support first-party audience activation while maintaining privacy, governance, and brand-safety standards.
- Reporting & Process Improvement: Improve visibility into campaign readiness, tracking health, operational issues, and media reconciliation while identifying opportunities for automation and reduced manual work.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Ad Operations, Paid Media Operations, MarTech, Digital Media, or Marketing Analytics.
- Strong knowledge of paid media across SEM/Shopping, paid social, display/programmatic, video/CTV, and related channels.
- Experience with campaign taxonomy, UTMs, tracking parameters, naming conventions, and analytics/reporting structures.
- Working knowledge of platforms/tools such as Northbeam (measurement), HighTouch (CDP), Amplitude/GA4, Feedonomics, DV360, TradeDesk or similar tools.
- Experience with pixels, server-side tagging, CAPI/API integrations, and conversion tracking.
- Experience onboarding advertising platforms, agencies, publishers, or measurement vendors and managing access, permissions, and data configuration.
- Strong cross-functional experience working with Product, IT/Engineering, Analytics, Data, MarTech, Finance, Legal/Privacy, and Marketing.
- Highly analytical, process-oriented, and comfortable troubleshooting complex issues across multiple systems.
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting a transition from agency-managed to in-house paid media execution.
- Experience building or improving an Ad Operations function.
- Familiarity with MMM/MTA, incrementality, first-party audience activation, brand safety, fraud prevention, and programmatic verification.
- Ability to develop documentation, training materials, and scalable operating processes for internal teams.
