The Senior Manager, Accreditation plays is primarily responsible for oversight and successful management of Accreditation Activities and Projects related operational and commercial needs within a specific region. This includes but not limited to:

  • Leading/Project Management of key accreditation projects and activities

  • Securing and maintaining existing accreditations and regulatory recognitions

  • Maintaining expert knowledge related to accreditation requirements

  • Maintaining relationships with external bodies

  • Direct supervision, mentorship, and oversight of Accreditation Managers

  • Advancement and continual improvement of the CSA accreditation processes

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assume a leadership role for overseeing, delegating, maintaining, and expanding specified accreditations and recognitions for CSA. Ensuring that applications for new accreditations and scope expansions are coordinated with appropriate stakeholders (Internal and External). Assisting in pre and post-assessment activities. Ensuring that accreditation audits are well coordinated and are efficiently managed. Providing information and training to management and staff, as required, in support of accreditations and recognitions.

  • Responsible for providing to the Director, Accreditation reports on efficiencies, areas for improvement, on time delivery of accreditation activities and projects, budgetary resolutions, ROI analysis and other areas of interest with recommendations.

  • Oversees and provides feedback on the financial resources needed for accreditations fees, as well as, other costs associated with accreditations and regulatory recognition. Accountable for monitoring, reviewing, and arranging for payment of accreditation fees while monitoring and reporting on value for the price paid. Accountable for the development and ongoing maintenance of the accreditation budget and expenditures pertaining to accreditation, conformity assessment and regulatory recognition.

  • Prepares and transmits the applications for accreditation renewals and scope expansions.

  • Accountable for managing the accreditation and recognition of CSA facilities. Oversees decisions on scope expansions or reductions of existing accreditations, and recommends new accreditations to CSA.

  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining all necessary accreditation records such as contact information, scopes of accreditation, regulatory recognition, accreditation requirements and related technical standards. Provides information to appropriate parties internally and externally, as required.

  • Responsible for monitoring accreditation-related legislative activities to identify potential impact on CSA and communicates this information to CSA groups as required. Reviews both active and proposed legislation, communicates internally and recommends appropriate policy and position, liaises with legislators for the purpose of obtaining formal acceptance and recognition. 

  • Represents CSA interests in domestic and international conformity assessment body activities such as Mirror Committees, National Committees, the International Accreditation Forum (IAF), the  International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), The Asia Pacific Accreditation Co-operation (APAC), The European Co-operation for Accreditation, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering or Technology degree or diploma

  • Sound knowledge of ISO 17065, ISO 17020, ISO 17011, applicable domestic and regional certification schemes, and other related regulations, standards, and requirements

  • 15-20 years of progressive testing and/or product certification experience

  • 7-10 years of direct management experience in a supervisory capacity

  • Formal training in quality assurance methods

  • Demonstrated strong collaborative and effective communication skills

In California, the typical hiring range for this position is $134,000-165,000 USD; however, based on a variety of considerations (such as education, licenses, certifications and/or, experience,) CSA Group reserves the right to flexibility outside of the stated range.

Veiller à ce que les demandes de nouvelles accréditations et d'extension de la portée soient coordonnées avec les parties prenantes appropriées (internes et externes). Participer aux activités de pré-évaluation et de post-évaluation. Veiller à ce que les audits d'accréditation soient bien coordonnés et gérés efficacement. Fournir des informations et des formations à la direction et au personnel, selon les besoins, pour soutenir les accréditations et les reconnaissances.

  • Fournir au directeur de l'accréditation des rapports sur l'efficacité, les domaines d'amélioration, la réalisation dans les délais des activités et projets d'accréditation, les résolutions budgétaires, l'analyse du retour sur investissement et d'autres domaines d'intérêt, accompagnés de recommandations.

  • Superviser et fournir un retour d'information sur les ressources financières nécessaires pour les frais d'accréditation, ainsi que sur les autres coûts associés à l'accréditation et à la reconnaissance réglementaire. Il est responsable du suivi, de l'examen et de l'organisation du paiement des frais d'accréditation, tout en contrôlant et en rendant compte de la valeur du prix payé. Il est responsable de l'élaboration et de la tenue à jour du budget d'accréditation et des dépenses liées à l'accréditation, à l'évaluation de la conformité et à la reconnaissance réglementaire.

  • Préparer et transmettre les demandes de renouvellement d'accréditation et d'extension de la portée.

  • Responsable de la gestion de l'accréditation et de la reconnaissance des installations de l'ASC. Il supervise les décisions relatives à l'extension ou à la réduction de la portée des accréditations existantes et recommande de nouvelles accréditations à l'ASC.

  • Il est responsable de l'établissement et de la tenue de tous les dossiers d'accréditation nécessaires, tels que les coordonnées des personnes-ressources, les portées d'accréditation, la reconnaissance réglementaire, les exigences en matière d'accréditation et les normes techniques connexes. Fournir des informations aux parties concernées en interne et en externe, le cas échéant.

  • Suivre les activités législatives liées à l'accréditation afin de déterminer les répercussions possibles sur la CSA et communiquer ces renseignements aux groupes de la CSA, au besoin. Examiner les lois en vigueur et proposées, communiquer à l'interne et recommander une politique et une position appropriées, assurer la liaison avec les législateurs dans le but d'obtenir une acceptation et une reconnaissance officielles.

  • Représenter les intérêts de la CSA dans les activités des organismes d'évaluation de la conformité nationaux et internationaux tels que les comités miroirs, les comités nationaux, l'International Accreditation Forum (IAF), l'International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), l'Asia Pacific Accreditation Co-operation (APAC), l'European Co-operation for Accreditation, etc.

Qualifications :

  • Licence en sciences appliquées en ingénierie ou en technologie, ou diplôme.

  • Bonne connaissance des normes ISO 17065, ISO 17020, ISO 17011, des systèmes de certification nationaux et régionaux applicables et d'autres réglementations, normes et exigences connexes.

  • 15 à 20 ans d'expérience progressive en matière d'essais et/ou de certification de produits

  • 7 à 10 ans d'expérience en gestion directe dans une fonction de supervision

  • Formation formelle aux méthodes d'assurance qualité

  • Avoir fait preuve de solides compétences en matière de collaboration et de communication efficace.
