Purpose

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Logistics Specialist, Inbound to join our supply chain team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the execution and tracking of shipments, resolving transportation issues, and ensuring compliance with international and domestic shipping regulations. This role requires experience with a wide range of transportation modes and familiarity with regulatory requirements such as Dangerous Goods handling and ITAR compliance.

The Role
  • Execute and manage daily shipments across various transportation modes (Small Parcel, LTL, FTL, LCL, Airfreight).
  • Track and monitor the movement of shipments (both domestic and international) to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Identify and resolve transportation and shipping issues proactively and effectively.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure smooth logistics operations.
  • Maintain accurate shipment documentation and ensure compliance with applicable regulations including:
  • Dangerous Goods (DG) handling.
  • International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
  • Support and manage finished vehicle moves coordinating with logistics providers.
  • Analyze shipping data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and performance improvement areas.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs related to logistics operations.
  • Assist in developing and optimizing logistics processes and procedures.
  • Own and define inbound logistics strategy, establish department-level KPIs, and serve as the subject matter expert for international trade compliance and transportation optimization initiatives.
  • Other responsibilities as needed
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain roles.
  • Hands-on experience with international and domestic shipments.
  • Working knowledge of transportation modes including Small Parcel, LTL, FTL, and LCL.
  • Experience handling Dangerous Goods (certification a plus).
  • Familiarity with ITAR and export compliance regulations.
  • Experience with finished vehicle transportation strongly preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle time-sensitive issues.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and systems (e.g., TMS, ERP).
  • Familiarity with HTS and Schedule B codes preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls 
Preferred Qualifications
  • IATA/IMDG Dangerous Goods Certification
  • ITAR Compliance Training
  • APICS or other Supply Chain Certifications

Compensation

At Divergent, our pay range is based on the level of the job. For this role, we will consider candidates at level S05 as evaluated through our interview process.

Pay Range
