The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to litigation attorneys.
- Prepare, revise, and finalize legal documents, pleadings, discovery, motions, and correspondence.
- File documents in California state and federal courts, including e-filing.
- Maintain attorney calendars, schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings.
- Coordinate service of process and manage deadlines to ensure compliance with court rules.
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and vendors.
- Assist with trial preparation, including assembling trial notebooks, exhibits, and witness materials.
- Enter attorney time and assist with billing as needed.
- 3–7 years of litigation paralegal experience in insurance defense required.
- Strong knowledge of California court rules, filing procedures, and litigation deadlines.
- Experience with California state and federal court e-filing.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
- Ability to work independently while supporting multiple attorneys in a fast-paced environment.
