About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager to lead Empowerly’s lifecycle marketing program and manage a growing team. You will design and execute omni-channel strategies that guide families from awareness to enrollment and beyond, while directly managing and developing a team of four professionals across design, growth marketing, CRM operations, and lifecycle strategy.
This is a high-impact leadership role with direct visibility to senior leadership. You’ll drive measurable improvements in customer engagement, conversion, and retention while shaping the team’s processes, priorities, and professional growth.
You will also collaborate closely with the Senior Revenue Strategy Manager and Business Intelligence & Data Analyst to ensure ROI is tracked and delivered for every initiative to align lifecycle campaigns with events, field activations, and brand initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Manage and develop a team of four, setting priorities, mentoring, and fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Lifecycle Strategy: Develop and implement end-to-end lifecycle marketing programs that drive awareness, conversion, and retention.
- Segmentation & Personalization: Create data-driven strategies for tailored customer journeys across multiple channels.
- Campaign Ownership: Oversee planning, execution, and optimization of integrated campaigns (email, SMS, in-app, social, web).
- Metrics & ROI: Partner with the Senior Revenue Strategy Manager and Business Intelligence & Data Analyst to ensure ROI is measured and maximized across all lifecycle programs.
- Cross-Group Collaboration: Work with the Head of Events and Field Marketing to integrate lifecycle campaigns into event-driven and field-based initiatives.
- Content Alignment: Ensure messaging resonates with both students and parents throughout the funnel.
- Continuous Optimization: Drive A/B testing, automation, and data-driven refinement of lifecycle programs.
What Success Looks Like
- Month 1: Build strong relationships with your team, understand Empowerly’s customer journey, and complete onboarding on the tech stack.
- Month 2: Present a refreshed lifecycle roadmap and team priorities, integrating lifecycle marketing with product-led and event-driven communication strategies.
- Month 3: Launch new campaigns with your team, begin reporting on funnel health, and demonstrate measurable improvements in engagement, conversion, and ROI.
Requirements
- 5+ years of digital marketing experience, with 2+ years in lifecycle/CRM marketing in a B2C environment (edtech a plus).
- 2+ years of people management experience, with a proven ability to lead and grow a high-performing team.
- Demonstrated success running omni-channel lifecycle campaigns.
- Proficiency with HubSpot CRM and marketing automation tools (Braze, Iterable, Marketo a plus).
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with ability to interpret data and make actionable recommendations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced education (MBA, Reforge, or equivalent training) is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with SQL, Python, and visualization tools (Tableau, Looker).
- Experience with product marketing (positioning, messaging, GTM launches).
- Background in education, edtech, or outcomes-based product marketing.
