In this role, you will:
- Act as an advisor to senior leadership to develop or influence objectives, resources, and long-term goals for highly complex issues across Wealth Underwriting
- Make decisions on highly complex and multi-faceted credit risk management to ensure satisfactory credit portfolio risk examinations requiring strong understanding of Wealth Underwriting functional area policies, procedures, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges related to portfolio issues and borrower credit worthiness evaluations requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale, and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking, and coordination of highly complex activities and guidance to others
- Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership within the Wealth Underwriting functional area on implementing innovative and significant business solutions that are large-scale, cross-functional, or companywide
- Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor within Wealth Underwriting functional area to leadership on loans, portfolio segments, or projects
- Partner with Custom Credit Banker and Financial Advisor to provide guidance on due diligence, credit, and loan document negotiations with clients
- 7+ years of Wealth Underwriting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- US Only: Successfully completed Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 7 (or FINRA recognized equivalents) sufficient to qualify for immediate FINRA registration
- Experience in credit assessment: Analyzing the creditworthiness of borrowers and assessing their ability to repay the loan.
- Skilled in collateral evaluation: Evaluating the value and appropriateness of the securities used as collateral for the loan.
- Knowledgeable in transaction evaluation: Assessing the risks and suitability of the overall lending transaction.
- Experience in documentation and analysis: Document findings, analyzing loan files, and identifying potential exceptions.
- Skilled in risk mitigation: Reconciling findings with guidelines and identifying compensating factors.
- Knowledgeable in compliance: Adhering to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and data security standards.
