Chicago, Illinois Pay Range: $175,000.00-$279,000.00 USD annual (this range may not be applicable to other locations).
Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
Salary is just one component of Wells Fargo's total rewards package. Depending on the role, a Wells Fargo's employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

In this role, you will:
- Act as an advisor to senior leadership to develop or influence long-term goals for highly complex business and technical needs across Commercial Banking or Corporate & Investment Banking
- Build and maintain effective relationships with existing clients within their products or functional area, including sharing relevant information with coverage team partners
- Independently review and analyze client portfolios, including highly complex scenarios, for key issues related to cash flow, liquidity, leverage, working capital, debt coverage, collateral or enterprise value analysis, and repayment sources, including for use in periodic reviews as well as interim underwriting memoranda
- Partner with coverage teams within the context of individual deals and client relationships, to anticipate and understand clients' businesses, strategic objectives, operational priorities, and financial positions to identify opportunities for modifications, renewals, and refinancings
- Lead modifications, renewals, and refinancings of varying complexity levels, including assessing a client's financial position and risk level and acting as an advisor to leadership for highly complex situations for both prospective and existing clients
- Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges by synthesizing industry and economic trends, including complicated legal and regulatory issues, in addition to regular portfolio reviews to manage risk and lead problem loan resolutions, where applicable
- Prepare for periodic exams by internal and external auditors
- Strategically engage with all levels across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership to resolve client issues and achieve business objectives while leveraging a sound understanding of relevant policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Partner with product management functional partners and other senior leaders to provide vision, direction, and expertise to leadership on evolving market needs to enable the innovation, design, and delivery of credit solutions more effectively, including large-scale, cross-functional, or companywide strategies
- 7+ years of secured or specialized lending relationship management or portfolio management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of Asset-Based Lending (ABL) portfolio management
- 5+ years of experience in Asset-Based Lending (ABL) including credit evaluation and risk assessment as well as knowledge of large corporate lending and working knowledge of ABL and Capital markets
- Effective organizational, multi-tasking and prioritization skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge and understanding of balance sheet, P/L and statement of cash flows
- Ability to excel in a face paced environment while effectively adapting to evolving priorities and business needs.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of curiosity and a proactive approach to learning, consistently seeking out information and asking thoughtful questions to deepen understanding.
