Emerald, a leader in building dynamic market platforms that integrate live events and media, is seeking a Senior IT Systems Support Analyst to provide day-to-day operational support for a complex, multi-system financial applications environment within a highly audited (SOX-compliant) organization.

This role is focused on production support, system stability, data integrity, and audit readiness across enterprise financial platforms including Epicor ERP, Hyperion, NetSuite, and a potential future implementation of OneStream. The Senior IT Systems Support Analyst will act as a key escalation point for system issues, partner closely with Finance and Audit, and ensure reliable system operations during critical close cycles.

The ideal candidate is highly hands-on, comfortable supporting manual and semi-automated processes, experienced in regulated environments, and skilled at troubleshooting integrations and financial data issues across multiple platforms.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as a senior-level IT support analyst for Epicor ERP, Hyperion, NetSuite, and other connected financial and reporting systems (e.g., A2Z, Salesforce).
  • Provide Tier 2 / Tier 3 production support, including issue triage, root-cause analysis, and resolution of system, integration, and data issues.
  • Support and stabilize manual and semi-automated financial processes, identifying risks, control gaps, and opportunities for incremental improvement.
  • Monitor, support, and troubleshoot system integrations, reconciliations, and data flows between ERP, consolidation, and reporting platforms.
  • Partner closely with Finance during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close to ensure system availability and data accuracy.
  • Support SOX compliance activities, including IT General Controls (ITGCs), application controls, access reviews, and audit evidence collection.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation, including system process flows, control narratives, runbooks, and support procedures.
  • Act as a key IT liaison for internal and external audits, responding to audit inquiries and supporting walkthroughs and testing.
  • Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and internal IT teams to resolve incidents, manage defects, and support system upgrades and patches.
  • Assist with UAT support, validation testing, and production deployments related to fixes, enhancements, and vendor releases.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in IT systems support or systems analyst role supporting ERP and financial applications.
  • Hands-on experience supporting ERP platforms, with Epicor preferred, and exposure to at least one of the following:
    • Hyperion
    • NetSuite
    • OneStream
  • Experience supporting systems in a SOX-compliant, heavily audited environment.
  • Strong ability to document the process flows and produce necessary documentation for change approvals.
  • Proven experience supporting system integrations, including APIs, flat files, and scheduled data feeds.
  • Ability to troubleshoot data issues across multiple systems and perform reconciliation and validation.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder-support skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems and operate effectively in complex application landscapes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct production support experience with Epicor ERP or similar mid-market ERP platforms.
  • Experience supporting multi-entity, multi-company, or post-acquisition environments.
  • Exposure to system decommissioning, data archiving, or legacy application retirement.
  • Familiarity with automation or integration tools (APIs, file transfers, middleware, GenAI-assisted tooling).
  • ERP or financial systems certifications (Epicor, NetSuite, Hyperion, OneStream).

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
