In return you will be well-compensated for your expertise, with a path to long-term impact and you have the opportunity to be part of building a culture of self-service that empowers employees and reduces operational friction.

What you'll do

    • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding, including devices, accounts, and application access.
    • Ensure all hardware, software, and credentials are provisioned/deprovisioned securely and efficiently.
    • Address IT helpdesk tickets and proactively resolve employee technology issues.
  • Systems Administration
    • Serve as administrator and subject matter expert for business platforms (HRIS, CRM, domain management, network/systems, and growth/marketing tools).
    • Oversee identity, access, and domain management to ensure security and scalability.
  • Workflow Automation & Optimization
    • Map business workflows across HR, sales, marketing, and operations.
    • Identify and implement automation opportunities that reduce manual overhead and encourage cross-departmental self-service.
    • Build and maintain integrations across SaaS applications and tools.
  • Contractor & Partner Management
    • Coordinate with external IT service providers, contractors, and vendors.
    • Ensure outsourced work aligns with Moon’s standards for service quality, security, and efficiency.
  • Infrastructure & Network Oversight
    • Support and maintain core IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and business-critical systems.
    • Ensure reliability, uptime, and security of technology environments.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership
    • Collaborate directly with leadership and department heads to understand business needs and design scalable, automated solutions.
    • Promote a culture of self-serve IT enablement across the organization.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement
    • Stay current with evolving IT and automation tools.
    • Proactively propose and implement solutions that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support business growth.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years in IT systems engineering, business systems administration, or related roles. Startup or high-growth experience is a plus.
  • Technical Breadth: Deep knowledge of IT systems, SaaS administration, and workflow automation.
  • Administration of HRIS, CRM, domain, and marketing tools.

  • Type A personality: Extremely organized, detail-oriented, self-accountable and process-driven. Agile and quick to respond to urgent business needs.
  • Willingness to be available 24/7 if necessary — including occasional rare situations where support is required at unusual hours.
  • Collaboration: Excellent communicator who can translate technical solutions into business value.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with minimal direction.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
