Purpose

The Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for leading complex, cross-functional technology initiatives that enable scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise systems. This role drives disciplined execution across the full project lifecycle--aligning stakeholders, managing risk, and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery--while championing developer experience and platform-centric thinking.

The Role
  • Manage the lifecycle of Applications projects, while collaborating closely with internal teams and thirdparty implementation partners.  
  • Develop detailed work breakdown structures, schedules, and resource plans. Track projects and keep stakeholders informed of risk. 
  • Partner with IT management and business leadership to define project scope, develop business cases, and prepare detailed project budgets.  
  • Establish and manage IT PMO governance processes, including phase gates, milestone reviews, and executive approval checkpoints to ensure disciplined project delivery.  
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive Project Management Plans, including Risk Management and Communication Management Plans, in alignment with organizational standards. 
  • Identify, log, and mitigate project risks and issues; maintain risk register. 
  • Partner with stakeholders to track and maintain up to date reports relevant to the Technology Team, including software usage, software budgeting, and renewal and refresh cycles. 
  • Build and manage detailed, integrated work plans—including training, cut over, and environment/instance plans—that incorporate IT, business, and third-party resources.  
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support software evaluation and selection processes, including the creation of RFIs and the review of vendor proposals.  
  • Review implementation of partner deliverables and lead formal sign-off processes to ensure quality, completeness, and alignment with project objectives. 
Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in Information Technology Project Management or Relevant Direct Work Experience (such as another I.T. position that self-managed projects). 
  • 2+ years working with cross-functional technical teams 
  • Strong foundation in project management fundamentals, with the ability to adapt delivery methodologies—such as Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid approaches—based on project complexity and organizational needs.  
  • Strong foundation in project management fundamentals (PMBOK® Guide), with the ability to adapt delivery methodologies—including Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid approaches—based on project complexity and organizational needs.  
  • Strong technical background — understanding of technology infrastructure, software (both SaaS and internally developed), and security concepts 
  • Strong foundation in project management fundamentals (PMBOK® Guide), with the ability to adapt delivery methodologies—including Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid approaches—based on project complexity and organizational needs.  
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with IT, software/programming, engineering, and security stakeholders 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools with the ability to produce professional executivelevel artifacts and dashboards either directly or by partnering with the BI team. 
  • Comfortable driving both high-level strategy and low-level implementation details 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience presenting to senior and executivelevel audiences. 
  • Strong communication skills and a bias toward action in ambiguous environments 
  • Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and/or certification. 
  • PMP or other project management certification or education. 
  • Passion for developer experience, platform thinking, and empowering engineering teams

Pay Range
$110,160$180,977 USD
