Lead IT project management and application support for a national cooperative, focusing on Azure cloud modernization, data storage optimization, database analysis, 2nd-level troubleshooting, enterprise chatbot implementation, vendor management, requirements gathering, and coordinating internal and external IT resources to deliver complex software solutions.

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager and Application Support Specialist to lead technology efforts for a national cooperative group purchasing organization (MMCAP). The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technical execution and project management, focusing on day-to-day operational support, data storage optimization, database analysis, and Microsoft Azure modernization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Create project artifacts, negotiate scope and schedule changes with stakeholders, manage project dependencies, and ensure the successful execution of complex software solutions.
- Application & Operations Support: Provide technical direction on software applications, install and configure websites and databases, and manage remote access to systems.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Provide 2nd level support by researching and resolving complex website, application, and database connectivity issues.
- Cloud Modernization & Data Analysis: Conduct assessments of current data environments, evaluate storage capacity, and translate legacy system requirements into future-state architectures within Microsoft Azure.
- AI & Vendor Management: Implement and manage enterprise chatbots, while also overseeing vendor purchase requests, contracts, subscriptions, and professional services.
- Collaboration & Testing: Lead requirements-gathering sessions, perform application testing, and coordinate activities alongside internal IT resources and external consultants.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Proven, long-term experience in both IT project management and IT application support roles.
- Hands-on experience administering environments and supporting applications within Microsoft Azure.
- Demonstrated expertise in data storage optimization, database analysis, and driving Azure modernization initiatives.
- Active Microsoft Azure Administrator certification.
