We provide world-class software solutions that prioritize client relationships and continuous innovation. As we expand, we’re eager to build an internal IT team that shares our passion for teamwork, growth, and excellence.
About the role
As our Senior IT Administrator, you’ll be at the heart of ensuring our technology infrastructure is secure, scalable, and reliable. This is a hands-on role—one that combines high-level IT with day-to-day tech operations. You’ll guide our team through projects ranging from hardware deployment to integration, ensure cybersecurity and compliance standards are met, and act as the go-to resource for escalated support issues.
This is an in-person role in our Sherwood Park, AB office.
Here's what you'll be doing:
- System Setup and Deployment: Overseeing and participating in the deployment, configuration, and secure implementation of computers, hardware, and software across the organization.
- IT Infrastructure Management: Maintaining and documenting our IT environment—including servers, backups, and on-call coverage—ensuring stability and performance.
- Network & Security Oversight: Managing local networks, server infrastructure, and security systems through patching, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Cloud Services Integration: Working with platforms like AWS to implement scalable, secure cloud-based solutions.
- Governance and Risk Management: Applying assurance principles to maintain compliance, manage risk, and support governance frameworks like SOC 2.
- Technical Support Escalation: Handling high-level IT tickets, server setups, software updates, and ensuring daily IT operations run smoothly.
- Software & Systems Oversight: Supporting and managing tools such as Microsoft 365, Active Directory, SharePoint, and Sentinel One.
- Team Work: Mentoring junior IT team members, supporting training and development.
What you bring to the table:
- Detail-Oriented Execution: Manage tasks with precision and care, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.
- Hands-On Problem Solving: Thrive on diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues quickly and efficiently.
- Strategic Thinking: Understand the bigger picture and use technology to support long-term business goals.
- Microsoft Ecosystem Expertise: Well-versed in tools like Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Active Directory.
- Cloud Competency: Hands-on experience working with cloud platforms and aligning those solutions with business needs.
- Security-Minded Leadership: Approach IT with a strong awareness of compliance, governance, and risk management.
- Team Mentorship: Enjoy supporting others, sharing knowledge, and helping team members grow.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a Level 3, Senior IT Administrator role or similar.
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools, especially SharePoint and Active Directory.
- Experience working with internal networks, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and backup systems.
- Post-secondary education in an IT-related field is an asset.
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience supporting internal security programs or audits (SOC2, ISO27001, etc.).
- Knowledge of remote desktop software and can provide recommendations for improvements.
- Experience leading cybersecurity training programs and ensuring company-wide cybersecurity compliance.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft certifications are preferred.

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.
Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech
- Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
