Who you areMetropolis is seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to join the team implementing our native iOS applications. In addition to working side-by-side with a team of iOS and web engineers, you will work closely with our UX designers to build features to delight our customers and set the standard by which all mobility apps would be judged. We are looking for someone comfortable working with server-side teams to evolve the platform to support our mobile apps.

What you'll do- Promote productive collaboration with the product team and the design team
- Ensure the proliferation of high-quality patterns that boost the velocity of our iOS delivery and the quality of our product experience
- Mentor and guide engineers on your team
- Lead technical discussions, evaluate new techniques, and ensure our platform is constantly evolving and improving
- Leverage best practices in testing and deployment to enable rapid iteration and launch of new features
- MS or BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- 6+ years of hands-on experience as a Mobile Engineer for native iOS apps. Experience in high volume consumer facing applications is preferred. Excellent understanding of software engineering principles
- 6+ years writing applications in Swift, with usage of Swift UI as a bonus
- Proven experience interacting with back-end and full-stack engineers
- Experience working in an agile development environment
- Strong knowledge of mobile design best practices
- Languages + Frameworks: TypeScript, React, Scala (principally), Java (limited)
- Datastores: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake
- Cloud: AWS
- Version control: Git & GitHub
- AI Tooling: Copilot on GitHub
- Observability: Datadog
When you join Metropolis, you'll join a team of world-class product leaders and engineers, building an ecosystem of technologies at the intersection of parking, mobility, and real estate. The anticipated base salary for this position is $170,000.00 USD to $200,000.00 USD annually. The actual base salary offered is determined by a number of variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment.
