About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Integration Developer to serve as a technical anchor and architect-level executor for our mission-critical Scheduling Event Bus Platform supporting Telehealth, Scheduling, and Mobile Platform Services (TSMP). In this role, you will design, engineer, and optimize highly secure, fault-tolerant event-driven workflows that enable over 300 enterprise applications to create, route, synchronize, monitor, and manage appointment events. You will lead complex backend integrations utilizing enterprise Java architectures and Apache Kafka, mentoring developers, establishing technical specifications, and driving modernization efforts across AWS GovCloud containerized topologies (EKS).
Key Responsibilities
- Architectural Design & Java Engineering: Architect, optimize, and oversee the execution of secure, high-throughput event streaming topologies using Java and Apache Kafka to ensure real-time synchronization and near-zero service disruptions across the Scheduling Event Bus.
- Advanced Integration Engineering: Lead the structural development of complex data fabrics, microservices, message schemas (Avro/JSON), and intelligent event routing frameworks capable of supporting over 300 interconnected enterprise applications.
- Spec-Driven Design Leadership: Own and validate the generation of comprehensive technical specifications that drive Spec-Driven Workflows, ensuring precise code generation and accelerated, high-quality development cycles via AI-assisted engineering.
- DevSecOps & Platform Resiliency: Partner with Cloud and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to design robust Infrastructure as Code (IaC), supervise secure containerized infrastructure deployments (Kubernetes/EKS in AWS GovCloud), and implement advanced monitoring and automated circuit-breaking patterns.
- Technical Governance & Mentorship: Enforce strict Java coding standards, security baselines, and data governance policies (HIPAA, NIST, Zero Trust) through structural code and architecture reviews. Mentor junior and mid-level integration developers, fostering continuous technical upskilling.
