About Zscaler

Zscaler accelerates digital transformation to ensure our customers can be more agile, efficient, resilient, and secure. As an AI-forward enterprise, we are constantly pushing the envelope, leveraging the world’s largest security data lake to power our cloud-native Zero Trust Exchange platform. This innovation protects our customers from cyberattacks and data loss by securely connecting users, devices, and applications in any location.

Here, impact in your role matters more than title and trust is built on results. We say, impact over activity. We seek innovators who actively use AI to amplify their impact and who thrive in an environment where we leverage intelligent systems to stay ahead of evolving threats. We believe in transparency and value constructive, honest debate—we’re focused on getting to the best ideas, faster. We build high-performing teams that can make an impact quickly and with high quality. To do this, we are building a culture of execution centered on customer obsession, collaboration, ownership, and accountability.

We value high-impact, high-accountability with a sense of urgency where you’re enabled to do your best work and embrace your potential. If you’re driven by purpose, thrive on solving complex challenges, and want to be part of the team that’s helping to secure the AI age, we invite you to bring your talents to Zscaler and help shape the future of cybersecurity.

Role

We are looking for a Senior Information Systems Engineer (Endpoint Systems) to join our team. This is a hybrid (3 days in office) role, reporting to the Manager, End User Engineering in the IT Digital Employee Experience (DEX) organization. This role designs, engineers, and operationalizes Zscaler’s secure, cloud-first end-user computing environment across Windows, macOS, BYOD, and mobile (iOS/Android)—ensuring endpoints are secure, compliant, resilient, and scalable. You will connect DEX strategy to execution by leading automation, self-service, and zero-touch provisioning initiatives, integrating core platforms, and serving as a senior technical escalation point to improve productivity, reduce risk, and modernize the end-user experience in a Zero Trust environment.

What you’ll do (Role Expectations)

  • Contribute to and execute endpoint strategy and future-state architecture across Windows, macOS, BYOD, and mobile
  • Engineer and operate endpoint lifecycle capabilities (zero-touch deployment, configuration, compliance, secure decommissioning)
  • Lead automation and self-healing remediation using scripting and API-driven workflows to reduce operational load
  • Integrate and optimize endpoint management and security platforms (Workspace ONE/Omnissa, Intune, Jamf, Automox, CrowdStrike, Okta/Entra, ServiceNow/Jira)
  • Drive endpoint security posture, patching, vulnerability remediation, and audit readiness; act as an L4 escalation point with RCA and durable fixes

Who You Are (Success Profile)

  • You thrive in ambiguity. You're comfortable building the path as you walk it. You thrive in a dynamic environment, seeing ambiguity not as a hindrance, but as the raw material to build something meaningful.
  • You act like an owner. Your passion for the mission fuels your bias for action. You operate with integrity because you genuinely care about the outcome. True ownership involves leveraging dynamic range: the ability to navigate seamlessly between high-level strategy and hands-on execution.
  • You are a problem-solver. You love running towards the challenges because you are laser-focused on finding the solution, knowing that solving the hard problems delivers the biggest impact.
  • You are a high-trust collaborator. You are ambitious for the team, not just yourself. You embrace our challenge culture by giving and receiving ongoing feedback—knowing that candor delivered with clarity and respect is the truest form of teamwork and the fastest way to earn trust.
  • You are a learner. You have a true growth mindset and are obsessed with your own development, actively seeking feedback to become a better partner and a stronger teammate. You love what you do and you do it with purpose.

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions to optimize outcomes within your functional domain
  • 6+ years in enterprise endpoint/EUC engineering in cloud-first, digital-first environments
  • Proficiency in managing enterprise environments using Workspace ONE (Omnissa), Intune (MEM), or Jamf, with a strong focus on zero-touch deployment and end-to-end device lifecycle management
  • Experience operationalizing endpoint security (e.g., CrowdStrike), driving vulnerability remediation, and managing fleet-wide patching (e.g., Automox) to uphold a strict Zero Trust security posture
  • Advanced PowerShell/Python/shell with demonstrated API-driven integrations/workflows across IT, Security, identity, and ITSM, alongside experience supporting FedRAMP/regulated audit workflows with U.S. citizenship required

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience implementing AI-powered endpoint analytics, predictive self-healing scripts, or intelligent automation to proactively optimize DEX outcomes
  • Hands-on proficiency with Workspace ONE (Omnissa) and Automox for end-to-end endpoint lifecycle management, including large-scale patching/vulnerability remediation
  • Exposure to AIOps, VDI / Desktop as a Service, and mature self-service programs with measurable outcomes

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
