Who We Are

Spot & Tango is an innovative pet health & wellness brand that delivers personalized meal plans on a subscription basis. Our recipes are developed by leading animal nutritionists, and are made with only real, human-grade ingredients... and nothing artificial! We have lofty goals (to make every dog in the country healthier, and every pet parent happier!) and we are looking for the right people to help us get there. This is an exciting opportunity to join a VC-backed, high-growth, e-commerce startup and have an outsized impact in an extremely fast-paced environment. Plus, you get to think about dogs all day!

Who You Are

You are passionate about building and running Influencer programs. You're equally comfortable negotiating a rate, reading a performance report, and telling a creator why their draft isn't quite there yet.

As our new Sr. Influencer Marketing Manager, you will report directly to the Director of Growth Marketing, oversee a team of part-time contractors and work closely with the paid social team. You'll inherit a creator partnerships program with real traction and real revenue behind it. Your job is to turn it into a scalable machine with better systems, sharper creative and clear measurement backed by data.

Responsibilities
  • Take our creator partnerships program from spreadsheets to a proper CRM, giving us clear visibility into the full creator recruitment pipeline from cold outreach to contract signing
  • Own the contracting process end to end: draft and negotiate terms, track usage rights and exclusivity windows, and keep renewals from lapsing
  • Manage a team of part-time contractors, setting priorities and quality standards for creator sourcing, outreach and negotiation
  • Manage the influencer budget set by the Director of Growth Marketing: allocate spend across creator tiers and channels, negotiate rates, and track cost-per-deliverable against targets
  • Maintain a steady monthly pipeline of high-quality content from existing creators: assign briefs, review drafts, and give feedback so work meets the creative standards set by the paid social team
  • Write new briefs based on emerging trends across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts
  • Run the product gifting and seeding program: build loyalty with micro-influencers and long-tail creators through consistent, well-targeted sends, and use gifting to drive earned coverage around new product launches
Requirements
  • 4+ years of influencer or creator marketing experience
  • Experience managing budgets and agency relationships
  • Strong analytical skills with experience building reporting frameworks
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with a proven track record of handling hundreds simultaneous conversations
  • Strong negotiation skills, and a clear sense of what a creator is actually worth to us — you can land a rate that works for both sides without burning the relationship
  • Impeccable attention to detail with contracts, and the discipline to keep terms tracked across a large and growing roster

This is a hybrid position based in our Midtown Manhattan office.

In-office presence is required on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
