Own segmentation, personalization, experimentation, and analytics partnerships to drive member awareness, progression, redemption, and re-engagement while managing cross-functional stakeholders, program economics, and roadmap prioritization.
The summary above was generated by AI

Airbnb was born in 2007 when two hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 5 million hosts who have welcomed over 2 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way.

The community you will join:

The Engagement Growth Marketing team sits at the intersection of marketing, product, engineering, and data science, shaping the guest journey and driving meaningful top-line impact. As the Senior Growth Marketing Lead, Membership, you’ll own the Lifecycle strategy and execution behind Airbnb’s membership and incentive programs. You’ll join a high-performing team focused on building deeply personalized lifecycle experiences powered by insights, data, and real-time guest signals.

The difference you will make:

You'll lead personalized email and push programs that help guests discover and get the most value from membership benefits and incentive offers. You’ll partner with Creative, Brand Marketing, Business Operations, MarTech, MarOps, Analytics, Finance, Data Science, Product, and PgM to build a roadmap grounded in guest insights, experimentation, dynamic content, and ML/AI-based decisioning.

You’ll bring strong strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and technical depth to turn insights into action. You’ll set clear priorities, align cross-functional partners, and ensure high-quality execution—while acting as a culture carrier who fosters a positive, collaborative, growth-minded team environment.

A typical day:

  • Own lifecycle strategy across the full member journey: awareness, progression, incentive redemption, and re-engagement - executed primarily through email and push.
  • Partner with global business teams to translate membership benefits and promotional moments into effective member journeys and campaigns.
  • Use segmentation, behavioral triggers, personalization, and automation to improve targeting, relevance, and campaign performance.
  • Partner with Analytics and Data Science on segmentation, incrementality, and campaign performance — translating findings into leadership-ready recommendations.
  • Partner with Finance and Business Operations on incentive cost modeling, redemption forecasting, and program economics to balance growth with profitability.
  • Utilize performance insights to create recommendations and improvements to the lifecycle strategy. Present recommendations to key cross-functional stakeholders and executives.
  • Manage a structured experimentation roadmap across messaging, audiences, timing, and channel mix to drive continuous program improvement.
  • Develop clear briefs that articulate campaign goals and technical, data, creative, and audience requirements.
  • Collaborate with Creative, Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to deliver high-quality member experiences across channels.
  • Present strategy, performance insights, and roadmap recommendations to key cross-functional stakeholders and executives.

Your expertise:

  • 15+ years of B2C CRM/lifecycle experience in fast-paced consumer or e-commerce environments with a track record of high-impact work.
  • 9+ years experience in lifecycle marketing, customer journey design, segmentation, personalization, and behavioral marketing
  • Exceptional prioritization and project management skills, with a demonstrated track record in developing and executing workplans,  managing multiple workstreams and delivering high-quality execution.
  • Work autonomously, learning tools and systems quickly and proactively moving work forward.
  • Thrives in ambiguity and change, showing resilience, adaptability, and steady leadership in a fast-paced tech environment.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional roadmaps and present strategy and results clearly to senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience in experimentation, performance measurement, and campaign optimization.
  • Ability to balance growth objectives with customer experience and brand considerations.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
