About the role:

We’re looking for a highly adaptable, conversion-driven Senior Growth Designer to join our Brand & Creative team. In this role, you’ll design creative that doesn’t just look great—it performs. You’ll bring our brand to life across high-impact marketing touchpoints, including paid and organic social, affiliate programs, email campaigns, internal decks, landing pages, and animation—always with measurable growth goals in mind.

You’ll collaborate closely with marketers, copywriters, and channel stakeholders to understand performance objectives, audience insights, and testing strategies—then translate that knowledge into smart, high-converting creative. Your work will span quick-turn ad iterations to net new concepts, all designed and optimized for measurable performance.

This role is ideal for a designer who thrives in a fast-moving, experiment-driven environment. You can pivot quickly, respond to real-time performance data, and own projects from concept to execution—while keeping every piece on-brand, crystal-clear, and strategically impactful.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design a high volume of performance-driven marketing content—including paid social ads, email campaigns, landing pages, affiliate creative, decks, digital ads, company material, and animations.
  • Lead high-impact creative from concept to execution—shaping strategic design direction, pitching ideas that align with business goals, and delivering results through rapid, data-informed iteration.
  • Partner with growth marketers to test, analyze, and evolve creative based on performance data.
  • Tell compelling visual stories using iconography, typography, photography, animation, and infographics to engage and convert audiences.
  • Apply and evolve the Ethos brand across key marketing channels, ensuring every touchpoint—email, lifecycle, social, advertising, landing pages, and events—feels consistent, elevated, and strategically tailored to its audience and platform.
  • Support creative for new product launches and evolving product lines, designing assets that clearly communicate value, drive engagement, and align with go-to-market strategy across various product types and customer segments.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 5–8+ years of experience in marketing design, with a portfolio that highlights strong conceptual thinking, exceptional visual execution, and performance-driven work. Portfolio must include strong paid social experience.
  • Expertise in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite; proficiency with motion design or animation
  • Deep understanding of marketing funnels, audience segmentation, and channel best practices
  • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—with an ability to clearly explain design decisions
  • Proven experience designing conversion-oriented marketing materials that balance craft and performance
  • Demonstrated ability to lead design projects end-to-end—from insights and ideation to execution and iteration
  • Skilled in storytelling, visual hierarchy, and audience-first thinking—able to clearly communicate complex ideas with clarity and impact
  • Comfortable working across multiple product types and audiences, and quickly shifting between different goals
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, growth, and product teams, building strong relationships and aligning creative to broader business strategies
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, feedback-rich environment with shifting priorities and evolving goals
  • Highly organized and self-directed; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt quickly
  • Attentive to design details
  • Receptive to feedback and collaborative in an iterative design process
  • Experience in DTC, fintech, or financial services industries preferred, with a portfolio showcasing work for non-physical products.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
